Also, I just realized the significance of Mugen holding the GanGun Saber in hammer mode in the preview. Really happy to see all of the special attacks get used. For a while I was under the impression Love Bomber was going to be Ghost's very own Bassha Fever.

I don't know how to feel about this.
Once again, Alain comes across as the most interesting character in the entire show, so I liked that. Adel's redemption felt.....decent (more on that later). Uh....I don't know what else positive to say (not because the episode was that bad, but because great ideas were executed poorly), so I'll just continue on to cons. First off, this episode is exactly why I was worried about the VotW plots well past the point of when the show should be winding down. Everything felt super rushed. We suddenly start redeeming Adel even though for the entire past 47 episodes, we've seen very minimal actual conflict in him and considering his crimes, that's a pretty big flaw. Kaito did less than he did and even he had an established point of no return. It took Alain several freakin' episodes to move over to the side of good, but Adel, who is ten times worse, goes from evil to good in like 5 minutes? IDC if Takeru has the ability to "connect" with people, that's ridiculous, considering everybody's been screaming in his ear the exact same thing Takeru just said for like the past 15 episodes and he just totally fucked off. Igor...once again, rushed. Literally nothing about him at all would lead me to believe he was in love with Akari or that he had any redeeming qualities whatsoever. This moment would make a lot more sense if it was Javel sacrificing his life for Onari (btw, Igor "dying" to a standard mook is freaking stupid. Even Kanon, the most useless character on the entire cast was taking down Ganma fodder with no problem). And speaking of which, where IS Javel and Mr. Kaijin Rider throughout all of this? Did the show forget they were a thing? So was the whole Fake Makoto plot just an excuse to include a fake-out death to make the finale seem more meaningful? I mean jeez, how many fake-out deaths has this series had? Feels like they've had more than the past few seasons combined and these moments are especially meaningless when Makoto just dies and Fakoto shows up like a few seconds later going "Nvm guys, I can save him" and just does it. I mean, earlier in the show, at least when they did these fake-out deaths they let them marinate for an episode or so. Here, we don't even 5 minutes of dead Makoto. And I've never watched the web series so I have no clue what the fuck is going on with Frey and Freya or what their importance to the plot even is. Way to alienate viewers who haven't seen any of that stuff. Alain was great as always though and that Adel moment would have been good if they gave us more setup but they didn't so...eh. Like everyone else, I patiently await Tamagotchi Rider.

That being said, those videos were free on Youtube, so it's not like they're making you go buy a DVD or something just to get the full plot.

I get that, but generally speaking, if this kinda stuff is going to show up as a major plot event, then it needs to be apart of the main story. I shouldn't need supplementary material just to understand the climax of the TV show.

Don't get me wrong, I'm totally with you on this. I don't know what they were thinking with having these guys turn up in the show with no explanation and I get the feeling the last 2 episodes won't clear anything up. Even Gramps as Dark Ghost these past two weeks felt more explained, honestly. Or at least it amounted to something and was funny. I really hope they knock this stuff off for Ex-Aid. Treating the TV shows as being 100% canon with anything but themselves never seems to go well. Anyone remember Foundation X?

Either Takeru's mom is revealed in the 2 episode or in the crossover. I want it known!

This episode is so confusing especially the whole Makoto scene
I couldn't tell who was Real Makoto! The one who is about to dying or the one that fused with the dying Makoto Kamen Rider Ghost is so confusing mess! Takuro Fukuda doesn't know what the direction he want for Ghost! This show was way disappointed than Drive! I am disappointed that Ganma are just a bunch of humans that went to alternate dimensions! Toei! You could have them being demons or ghosts! Oh my god! This is all Kamen Rider Wizard over again! I hate confusing storyline! I hope Ex-Aid will have less confusing storyline than this Last edited by vin13ish; 09-13-2016 at 12:53 AM.. |

Honestly, I have a REALLY hard time giving grades to these last few Episodes....I guess this one was....INTERESTING I guess?
First off, the heck is with Kanon being able to take out Ganma grunts with mere palm taps...? C'MON NOW...At first when I saw this, I wanted to believe she possibly got some sort of combat training from Makoto or the other Ganma when living there....then I remembered how much she's been the damsel in distress this entire show. XD Second, Igor sacrificing himself for Akari....WHAT EVEN. NO. Just....NO. Did they really just off Igor in one of the most random ways, just to get him outta the way since they're running low on Episodes?!! I was hoping for some epic clash with Akari, where it's possibly even Akari herself that takes Igor down, but NOOOOOOO.... Third, the Makoto Clone subplot......THIS is where the "interesting" thing kicks in. It fascinates me how the Makoto Clone has now adapted Makoto's feelings & resolve, and became a good person, to the point where it sacrificed itself to heal the real one. Like someone else said, it would've been an interesting ending if the real Makoto died & the Makoto Clone truly had to step in the shoes of the original. But oh well. One thing that I think not many people caught though was, did anyone else notice the way the real Makoto was concerned for Kanon.....while the Makoto Clone was concerned for ALIA?!! Now, this isn't totally out of nowhere since Makoto has before shown care for Alia, but now I wonder why the Clone had her in interest.....which ties into the FLAW OF THIS SITUATION: WHY DIDN'T THEY FLESH OUT THIS SUBPLOT?!! I said this before, and I'll say it again: it's STILL not clear on just what the Makoto Clone is & why the Ganmaizers made it. My guess is they were using it to observe emotions, since that's what they somewhat show interest in, but....I mean, then why did it act like it did when first introduced, where it just kept challenging Makoto to battle? It's just weird, and not properly explained. Fourth, Alain's confrontation with his brother. GOOD STUFF. Probably the only honest good part of this Episode. Fifth, Takeru flipping Adel to good.....Well, lemme first start off with the good: The 15 Heroic Eyecons vs. the Ganmaizers was short but EPIC....Now for something INTERESTING. One thing to note is another thing I think alot of people probably overlooked: I know people will see Takeru hugging Adel & making him remember his past w/ his father as corny & a completely random ability, and not gonna lie I did too when I first saw it, but....after thinking a bit, it's actually not quite as random as I originally thought. If you guys remember, Takeru has been doing this since the first few Episodes. Now, of course, HOW he's doing it is still a mystery, but I don't think it's quite a deus ex machina, because remember, the Ganmaizers have been commenting on how Takeru is "evolving" into something. Takeru's ability to do Redeeming Hug no Jutsu might have something to do with what is soul is transforming into. ......But yea, Takeru converting Adel like this was LAME. Not to mention he frickin ONE-SHOT Adel at the end, instead of it being a grand fight to at least redeem the rushed conversion.....SIGH....

For both of these complaints, that was the whole point. They were supposed to show evil Makoto becoming more and more like real Makoto, and blur the line between them. You weren't supposed to tell the difference. Same with the Ganma - they're just people who are doing something very understandable. However, the younger generations kind of have a skewered view of the ideals being presented, which gave them terrifying power. Alain realized everything he was doing wrong earlier on, but Adel stuck with those warped ideals until almost the very end. Making them demons or something would ruin all of that.
