I was one of the lucky ones who managed to snag a 24k gold plated MMRP Legacy Morpher at San Diego Comic Con two years ago.
While it manages to maintain it's gorgeous luster it's had a problem for quite some time. While the parts are all moving how they should and the lights function all the sounds haven't worked in a long time. One day I was enjoying being a giant nerd and playing with it when all the sudden the sound just stopped. (YES I'VE CHECKED THE BATTERIES) I'm sure it's something that can be fixed with a little technical know-how I cannot claim to have even the slightest idea what to do. Since the sound stopped working I've done nothing to try and fix it out of fear of not being able to put it back together, breaking it worse, and most of all ruining the stickers. Does anyone know how to fix this issue or someone that could fix it for me(although I would be hesitant to send it away to a stranger given it's value)? Has anyone had a similar issue perhaps? |

I'm currently in possession of no Morphers right now, but might I suggest a Dr. Cranston or Andrew Hartford?
Really though, surprised no ones answered you by now. Have you tried other forums? Rangerboard is another obvious one, or HenshinJustice. But the gang here should be able to help you. They're a great bunch. Last edited by MetroPoliceGray; 08-28-2014 at 09:13 PM.. |

With something electronic like this, there are a lot of different reasons that the sounds have gone bad (faulty speaker, broken lead, etc) and chances are you won't be able to fix it without opening it up and going at it with a soldering iron. I'd recommend trying to talk to Bandai first since, like you said, it's an expensive item, and they'll probably be the best advice in replacing or fixing it.
If worse comes to worst, you or someone else can always gut the electronics and replace it with the ones from the Toys R Us release. Of course, that'll cost the $60 of the new morpher, but it's an option if the situation is that desperate. |

I previously contacted Bandai about the issue but they basically told me to go screw myself.
I've thought about opening it and trying it that way but my skill with an soldering iron is limited at best. I was more so curious if anyone else had faced this problem with the Legacy series of morphers. The odd thing was it literally worked one second and then the next nothing. No static no breaking in sound. It just stopped, |
