So I wanted to know which of the Heisei Rider series do you guys believe had the best insert songs? If I had to choose for myself it would be OOO's because it had an insert song for all the forms and usually with insert songs in Kamen Rider I like one or two of them but with OOO's I found myself loving all of them.
So what do you guys think? Discuss away. |

OOO, Drive and Ex-Aid are my favourites that I find myself going back to a lot. Gaim's also masterful with not just its inserts but its soundtrack in general.

KAMEN RIDER BLACK RX
Miyauchi is putting work into this song. And the way the horns and synth blend from the get-go is nice too.

Quite fond of 555 inserts. EGO, people with no name, dead or alive.
Den-O was cool too (if you like infinite variations of Double Action xD) Its funny how it varies between a show and another. And if I look at my ranking of KR shows, shows I remember and like inserts the most tend to be my favorite and the ones I don't even remember are in the lowest part (with a few exceptions like Kiva, but that's also because the show is kinda centered around music a bit. Supernova best final form kicks your ass song. and also OOO a bit but that's because each combo got its own theme song). Inserts, and sound design in general (meaning OSTs/insert songs/opening/voice and sound effects of the driver/hit sounds) are a big factor for me to like a series. Which is probably why Ex-Aid is in my top. The sound design was always on point. Last edited by Omnikaiser; 07-10-2018 at 07:23 AM.. |

I mean, obviously there's no Rider show with better insert songs than Black. That's just science. But if you want to talk specifically the Heisei era, I think I'd have to say Agito. I'm probably biased because it was my first Rider show, but you always knew that shit was about to get real when this started playing:

If we are talking Heisei endings though, KIVA REIGNS SUPREME.
Nothing tops Kiva when it comes to those sweet tunes.

How did I forget about Kiva. Man the violin in his inserts songs were bliss to my ears. The gothic sound that matched the theme of the show and it's also a plus that the main actor is the one singing all the songs which I love when they do that like in OOO's

Honestly, the bar was set very high since Kiva for me. The only shows post-Kiva that I thought had memorable insert/ending songs were W, Fourze, and Gaim. The rest were not so memorable. Personally out of the ones I posted Supernova reigns supreme.

+1 on Kiva.
Kiva's insert songs are so good I have them saved on my iTunes. |
