Are there any Tokusatsu-styled anime out there? I know that there is a Kikaider anime, and Voltron (along with golion and dairugger) and Sailor Moon have some Super Sentai-styled aspects, but are there any other notable ones?
edit: This thread isn't just for me, you should discuss toku-esque anime in general.

Gatchaman Crowds and Karas are both like tokusatsu shows made into anime, if that is what you mean.

Basically any anime that is either based on or similar to the kinds of things you see in Tokusatsu shows...so any shows that involve 5-6 member teams (especially if they have a mecha), people that transform into superheroes, giant monsters, etc. Gatchaman is a good example, never heard of Karas, will look it up

Although it's pretty old now, and relies heavily on CG animation, so I'm not too sure on how well it's aged.

This.
It's more or less THE Tokusatsu style anime. It jumps from nearly every major genre in toku over the course of the show. Starting at Local Hero, Kamen Rider, Sentai, some strange Metal Heroes/Saint Seiya Hybrid, and then sort of Ultraman.

This show? The suits look like Changeman with a hint of Goggle V. I'm definitely gonna have to watch this sometime. Quote:
Karas is kinda like the anime GARO visually but it's a storytelling mess, so come for the visuals and switch off your brain

Aw, that's a bit disappointing haha. Explains why I couldn't find any other images of them though
