I find this page and it’s reveal of what went wrong with Kamen Rider Ghost and how the show fails to live up the expection and explain some of questionable stuff that they made for Kamen Rider Ghost.
I took a picture and click on the thumbnail to look more detail about the troubled production of Kamen Rider Ghost. If you didn’t click the thumbnail...... Here’s we go The show's severe decline and current status as the black sheep of the Neo-Heisei era can mostly be pinned on this. Executive Meddling diverted the budget from this series to production of Kamen Rider Amazons. In addition, the series head writer Takuro Fukuda would regularly be absent within the construction of the series, leaving Keiichi Hasegawa (And to a lesser extent Noubhiro Mouri) left to pick up the pieces and try and introduce character arcs and lore… which would only end up being contradicted when Fukuda would return… solely to write filler episodes until the series reached its climax. Coupled with the show's pacing issues and arbitrary plot points introduced and then forgotten which were caused by mandates to meet each movie event deadline, several scenes required to understand the ongoing storyline and character development were left on the cutting room floor, only to be recollected into the Legend of Hero Alain home video minisodes. The diverted budget isn't really an issue. That's not going to affect the actual plot of the show. The inconsistencies of the writing staff, however, is a big problem. This must why:
1) There was no consistency as to what the Ganma were. 2) The show can't decide if it's about Indiana Jones-style ghost and treasure hunting or Buddhist themes. 2) Takeru dies in episode 12 in an arc that should've taken place later on. 3) Makoto's story is resolved super quickly and horribly, leaving him useless the rest of the show. 4) Sennin/Edith and Yurusen are so bad they even do a fourth wall joke about it. It's a wonder that the arc about Alain and Fumi ended up so well done with a mess like this. That was pretty much Ghost's saving grace. |

I wouldn’t be surprised if he was the one who made “87 days to 57 days” choice and have Takeru basically do nothing for those days. It’s also explained why Kamen Rider Ghost lack any insert songs compare to previous Kamen Rider Shows. They couldn’t afford those songs while Ex-Aid and Build got insert songs too. There was literally 2 songs for Kamen Rider Ghost and both songs was sang by Kishidan. |

Despite Ghost has many flaws, I still enjoyed this series. Alain and his stories is best things in this series.
Oh one more thing, I think it will be better if Dark Ghost are main villain in series not in movie. Adel as main villain is quite boring in my opinion. |

I wish they should keep them as supernatural demons than humans that put their soul on freaking Eyecon. I do agree about Alain and his relationship with Fumi. I was sad that she’s passed away. |

That was...as you say, poor choices on the staff's part. Although I disagree on Senin - I found him pretty funny. Unlike...Onari. |

Thanks for the info. I really like the first third of KR Ghost, and then it's true it began to drag on. This explains why.
