Adding to the cost, as opposed to the Zyu kits that were 5 and 1 respectively, this is also 6 mechas in the package.
The localization for the zyu kits ran from roughly 40 for Dragon at the cheapest to 80 for the full 5 set at the most expensive (B&N price.) So adding Blue Fin's localization price, royalty stuff, etc. Those prices aren't that bad. Now granted in the case of the MMPR sets, it probably would be cheaper to import the originals, but in this case, not so much since it's already an exclusive. So this is relatively cheap by comparison to the import. It roughly breaks down to about 16-18 USD per mecha/zord. Not as cheap as candy kits, but not that big of a markup by comparison either on american model kit prices. |

Remember your standard 6" Figuart costs anywhere from $35 to $70 depending on whether or not it is Premium Bandai or not.
In the case of this item - it was originally a Premium Bandai item.

I'm hoping they do Boukenger soon. I'd be so down for those.
