Looks like the Kiramagers have despised Crystas (a sacred holiday in Crystalia similar to that of the Nativity or Christmas Day here on Earth) much to Princess Mabushina's chagrin. Of course, defying the celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ means you're a grinch. Looks like Fire hates Juuru, Shovellow hates Tametomo, Mach hates Sena, Jetta hates Shiguru, Helico hates Sayo and Drilljian hates Takamichi for ruining their sacred holiday and they left them. Even King Express Zabyun and the auxiliary mechas are so crossed that they also left them as well. As for the hip-hop/rap battle, this is too embarrassing because although the Kiramai Music Festival has ended on November 15, it really annoys me. How will the Japanese Hip-hop Artists react to this episode? I don't know if that hip-hop music will be included in the final batch of Kiramager Song Collection next year. However, regaining the trust of the Mashins prevail and the Kiramagers later apologized for being mean to them. I bet the Kiramagers may have celebrating Crystas for the first time in their lives after all. Say, the Kiramager Character Song Collection will be released on December 22, Tuesday (December 23, Wednesday in Japan). So, order them online if you're not in Japan. Merry Kiramai Christmas to you all!

Weird that next week is the episode before New Years. It look interesting perhaps disguising something bigger. Usually, it's post christmas panic /clip show. We got enough during spring and kiramager might end early like 01, so was expecting a fast end game arc with yodon emperor already. Despite the feel of kyuranger big bad, the villains are very lackluster for a galactic level threat. Even the witch sister did t return .

Olay, I haven’t watched the full episode yet, but what I have seen is fun as hell. It’s really good to see Jyuru (I watched clips from the TV-Nihon sub, so I’m using its terminology) utterly fail at rapping, even when things start turning around, it’s only due to Fire being better at rhymes.
And good point for discussion: As Fire points out, the Kiramagers forget the Mashin as soon as they’re off the job. Any thoughts on that? Because the only real hint we’ve had towards this is Mach getting pissy when Sena went into a giant battle without him. Last edited by Androzani84; 12-24-2020 at 01:13 PM.. |

This episode is the best christmas present there is. Loved it, the rap battles, the super role-call, and the heartwarming ending. If Kiramager didn't already settle itself as my new favourite sentai ten times over already, then it just did it right here once again!

Poor Sena! She can't stand Mach's fast hip-hop music at all! But when Shiguru and Sayo came, they said, "Merry Crystas!" and Sena calmed herself down and smiled. As for the Christmas Episode, it was definitely one of the worst Super Sentai Christmas Episodes I've ever watched. My favorite Christmas Episodes are from DaiRanger (Kou's/KibaRanger's mother and brother Akomaru died), KakuRanger (where the KakuRangers disguised themselves as Santa Claus to stop the centipede gift menace), Boukenger (where Satoru "Chief" Akashi/BoukenRed meets Eve, who called him Satorin and to save Christmas from the terrifying Golem) and Gokaiger (where Luka has turned into a doll and Sayo Kinoshita (9 years later, Sayo Ooharu shares Kinoshita's first name as KiramaiPink) was transformed into GokaiYellow pro tempore to beat the monster and to return everyone into normal, living state). Sorry, Kiramager! That rap/hip-hop music is so annoying!

This was pretty much everything I hoped for as soon as I saw Ayumi Shimo was the one writing it.
Like, is the premise silly and fun? Of course it is. It's hilarious, even. Seeing Crunchula abusing the power of rap in an effort to create an endless cycle of people dissing each other and then sit back and watch as human society as we know it collapses is... I mean, do I even need to do anything more than just pointing out that's seriously the plot? It's exactly the kind of ridiculous thing I want to see out of a Sentai episode. Stuff like most of the Kiramagers being taken out by particularly good insults, or Kiramai Red in a literal, honestly for real rap battle with the show's main villains is just too delightful. It could've only been better if Garza was in there somehow. But what pushes it over the edge from being just a good, funny episode to being something legitimately great is what Shimo excels at, which is finding the heart within all the madness, and creating a story with a lot more focus and weight behind it. Everything with Fire and Juuru here is amazing. I loved how all the rude things the rest of the Kiramagers say to the Stones lead to Fire legitimately angsting about the truth within those insults. A lesser version of this same plot would've just had them saying silly mean things and left it at that, but there's an extra layer of character going on that elevates the episode so much. As soon as Fire showed up to rap his feelings at Juuru, I had a feeling this one was going to be a masterpiece. As soon as Juuru and him both started expressing their sincere appreciation for each other's friendship in the form of a rap battle, I knew the episode IS a masterpiece. I mean, wow, what a beat to land the story on. It's an excellent climax, made all the more heartwarming by how Juuru's flow is clearly not great, which just makes the whole thing feel that much more honest. Like, it's not even about if it's good rap (although Fire's bars do live up to his name), they're just speaking from the heart, you know? It's what I love most about Kiramager – how unabashedly it values positive reinforcement. Fire and Juuru don't just leave it at a gruff, heroic "we'll always be partners!" or something, even though that would still work. Instead, they are absolutely showering each other with praise and compliments, and I think that's great. Of course I think it's great, because it's what I do any time an episode like this comes along. Which is very often, because Kiramager is just such a great show. And this was even technically the Christmas episode, too! Written by Shimo! Talk about a great present! I loved it!
