Decade complete 2020 version? Violent emotion. Decade and schwartz alike even woz early on just show up and give off one liners to act cool and not progress the story one bit. I wouldn't call their past appearances relevant in foreshadowing anything. It seems like Schwartz plan is to mess with history and become ohma himself. I still don't know if sougo is born with certain power or given by Schwartz or perhaps Schwarts wants it and want try replace him.we are going in to a huge time paradox or avenger/dbz multiverse timeline mess. I wish the series did a better job with pacing decade appearance s as well give him something relevant to do beside nerf him and have him as a bg character saying vague lines that aren't even consider to be hints.the time jackers have to be one of the worst villains even comparing to wizard and ghost. They don't literally participate in battle or compete among eachother. It's just Schwartz game. And it isn't build up to be like ryuki where the big bad is the game creator/dungeon master. Next week will be a weak blah blah plan from Schwartz that I doubt would be logically and believable given the progression of what had happened. There aren't any real threats, sense, or mystery beside ohma, which was dropped quick in to the background. Very forgetable. So much hype, expectation, and wasted potentials with the guests. My 2cts is zio work better with arcs. Ohma shouldn't be the only thing that matters. The quartzer from the movie could of been relevant in the story endgame If they decided to defeat ohma early on. They could even fit in guests 1 eps each to save time like gokaiger instead of forcing a two parters. Os was more of exaid2 and might be getting another revisit. Wizard one was quite dragged out. I always thought ohma would be defeated during the midseason with geiz revival and other stuffs that's been happening and developing during the late 20s and early 30s to make rooms for time jackers and other groups to take it place. Thought not always good, build was patting for time during the evolt arc ever since they did a whole lot of retcon to lore of bottles and souchi.

Voidin, please, try to put some space in your wall of text if you can ><
It's a bit painful to read... Concerning Oma, I just hope that he really is Sougo turning bad, him being another character would be a letdown. |

Hey everyone, guess what time it is!
Wait, hold up Woz! I thought you said the history of Sougo becoming Oma Zi-O had disappeared from your book. Were you just lying about that? And why does your book play videos? I get that it's from the future, but like, is it a book or not? I mean, have we ever actually seen the inside of this thing before? Because I never would've interpreted those shots in the opening as being completely literal. Is this thing going to get set on fire by the end of the show, too? You know what? Never mind. It's not time for asking all these questions, I have the entire rest of the episode to talk about. My feelings on this one are unfortunately not too different from last time. It's a perfectly solid episode, but it left me with a nagging feeling it needed more going on. What bugged me this time was how the show spends any significant amount of time focusing on Geiz's feelings in all of this. He's essentially a completely different character right now, and taking time to give him internal monologues serves no purpose unless it puts his "correct" version's development into perspective in some clever way, which I don't quite think it did here. The scene where Sougo reflects on their relationship is a little more along the lines of what I want to see, but at the end of the day it's only one scene and I'm such a sucker for Sougo and Geiz's bromance any praise I can give it loses a lot of the impact. One of the things I always praise Zi-O for is how tight I feel the writing is when it comes to making every scene a meaningful part of the story, but unfortunately this is another arc like back with Quiz where things feel notably thinner than usual to me, and maybe even a bit sluggish. One thing I particularly would've loved to see was more emphasis on Hiryuu's role. There was talk in the last episode's thread about him being underdeveloped, and while my instinct was to disagree with that, thinking about it, there's definitely a lot of room to further flesh him out that isn't being taken advantage of here. He comes off to me like he's almost brainwashed or something, but once I realized that plot point only exists in my imagination, I got kind of disappointed. So yeah, I'm still not totally feeling this arc, but hey, they've got one more episode to tie it all together, and it's not like there wasn't tons of stuff here I liked. Sougo having the Grand Zi-O Ridewatch stolen was especially great. Limiting the use powerups like that get is important to keep the tension up, and this is a good way to go about it.

Pretty decent episode. We get some good Sougo and new-world Geiz interaction and Schwarz finally reveals that Tsukuyomi is his younger sister.
Best part of the episode were the Decade moments. Tsukasa chewing the scenery during the dining room scene (seriously, what what he doing lol) and his badass entrance with the handgun to save Tsukuyomi. Plus, we get his signature line and a transformation into Decade again after all this time (and the return of the magenta joke lol). Kaito plays a big role too. Good to see Diend again and summoning both Specter and Brave was super cool. Interesting that he gains the power of the Time Jacker's himself. Hopefully he remains a prominent villain figure throughout the final episodes of the show. Last edited by Xtreme RX; 07-20-2019 at 02:50 PM.. |
