On the positive side, yes the story is good. And the showrunner is a dear friend of mine...Gary the Cowboy. But if he had a choice, he wouldn't be working on this show either. Again, this is just coming from someone that works in the industry. The regular/average viewer will often not notice the things we do. |

The character designs are done by...let's say a guy that we're all trying to figure out he ever got into the industry in the first place. It's done by this older fellow, that still thinks Votoms is the top pinnacle of Anime. Ever watch The Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow? How about Secret Saturday?..yeah...as generic as you can get. Another thing is the animation. Its just horrible, horrible animation. The animation is supposed to be done by MOI in Korea...but we all know they farmed it out to China (a newcomer in animation). They have no idea how human anatomy works..anyone that says its good animation, has no clue how animation works. Its all animated in 3s and 4s..good animation is done in 2s and 1s.

And if this is how he runs a show he doesn't care about, I'd love to see him as a showrunner for something he does!

^You probably have. He ran the masters of the universe series back in mid 2000.^
If you look closely at all the credits in western animation for action adventure, you'll start realizing its all done by the same people. It's such a small group over here. We all know each other. And as for kaijudos animation feeling more fluid, it probably feels that way to the untrained eye. I'm just glad that show is pretty much finished. So are the artists....and Gary. We've all worked on shows we hated. I had to work on generator Rex for 2 seasons. But hey, it paid the bills. I've also had to work on a bunch of shitty dreamworks movies. I absolutely hated shrek. But I guess the audience liked it and consider it good animation. I left dreamworks because they were going to put me on shrek 4. Best decision I ever made. I think shrek is a perfect example of animation that the general/mass audiences loved. It made a shit load of money for the company. But if you worked in animation, you dreaded the thought of working on one. |

Oh, I also forgot to add. Sometimes it's the other way around. Even though I liked YJ as a show, it was absolutely the worst working experience I've ever had. So bad, you'd notice none of the directors from season 1 stayed for season 2. And had there been a season 3, none of us would have stayed for it either. That's a new record. 5 directors burnt out.

My brother used to be terrified of Shrek because of a Universal Studios walkabout he saw when he was three or four.
Also, I need to make this clear: "Oogi, yip-yip," is one of my favorite lines ever, mainly because I think it sounds like, "Boogy, yip-yip." It's little things like this that also need to be congratulated. |

Maybe my eyes are untrained but that doesn't change that I love how Kaijudo is animated, it satisfies me in the action without resorting to cheap animation or ugly character designs like stuff in Alien Force and EMH, those are both great shows though. Then I liked Generator Rex as well. I'm just glad Kaijudo got a second season, it deserved it!

Given the bitterness in his posts I assume more is going on than he is presenting.
