The Ultra shows weren't super popular for Crunchyroll. A few reps personally said so during cons. I don't know if they were outright failures (and I don't think they were) but I got the impression from them that they didn't perform to the numbers they wanted from the shows. Tsuburaya have been wanting to make the push for a wider Western release for quite some time though.

That's what sucks about being a fan of Toku in America. The fandom is too niche and they would probably have supported the official releases for them if they didn't already have fan subs for them. Not to mention, Japanese special effects don't appeal to many people.

I'm in for DVDs and/or a streaming service for current and upcoming shows. I dont want some lame version of Ultraman. I want Ultraman as it is.

If we get a new Ultraman show done in America, please don't try to copy off of the MCU formula. They should do a show faithful to the Japanese shows while doing their own creative take on the series. Not every superhero related thing needs to be like Marvel or even DC.
Boom in the early 2010s? Anime had its boom way before that.
