Throughout my time with Super Sentai, I have learned about many a different team and their movies. However, some are barely referenced if at all, and I have to admit that I have not seen them all. Of course, not all teams have had movie specials (like Fiveman and Zyuranger). Others were just theatrical versions of television episodes (Ex.: Himitsu Sentai Gorenger: The Red Death Match was a redo of Ep. 36 with Warship Mask). This thread is intended to offer a general discussion of Movies, Yearly Team-ups, and other infamous gatherings like Super Sentai World. Which was your favorite and which was the worst? Could they have done things differently? Some had villains/monsters from the series make return appearances. Is that a good decision, especially given who they chose to bring back? What was your favorite Movie Power-up (Ex.: "Megatector" from Denji Sentai Megaranger vs. Carranger is a Movie Exclusive armament). Your thoughts.

Worst yet the best was probably Kyoryuger vs Go-Busters in that Go-Busters was treated like appetizers but they gave us a dino-themed sentai special which was awesome. Still, the dino teams part should have been a separate summer movie.
Worst for me would be Hurricanger Shushutto The Movie only because it was a generic save the damsel in distress. I guess you could say the same for the Magiranger movie but that had a slightly better way of approaching it. Best special ever was probably Kyoryuger 100 Years After. As for exclusive stuff Safari Gaoh from the ToQger movie and Engine Daishogun I think is the best thing to come out from these.

Favorite Team-Up so far is Ninnin vs. Toq, but Gosei vs. Shinken also has a very special place in my heart.
For summer movie, I'd go with Gaburincho of Music, but I generally enjoyed all summer movies since Kyoryuger. Gekiranger was also kinda fun and, while I don't quite remember the movie itself, I remember liking Gaoranger as well. I don't care too much for movie power-ups, but Spino Dai-Oh was pretty neat, especially with how they introduced them. Also Ninnin Girls from the Ninninger V-Cinema xDDD I don't really have anything that I consider "the worst" since I tend to forget about the films I liked less, but I do think that Shinkenger's summer movie was kinda weak and the Goseiger V-Cinema was so-so. |

Favourite team up is Goseiger vs Shinkenger, hands down. I don't think any crossover movie has gotten the formula so perfect as that one.
Summer movie is a bit harder because I don't think any of them are particularly remarkable. Gaburincho of Music was good though, and I did really like the directors cut of Protect the Tokyo Enetower. Returns films are another thing that are hit and miss. 100 Years Later was probably my favourite, but I was surprised at just how good Ninnin Girls vs Boys was. As for power ups, I thought Mido Ninninger's debut was good - much better than ToQ #7's was the year before. As for exclusive mecha though, Safari GaOh is hands down my favourite.

Favourite crossover is probably... it's actually ToQ Vs Ninnin. I really haven't seen that many, but that's probably the best of a short list.
Best summer movie I've seen is the Kyoryuger one, but they're all pretty forgettable. It had Deathryuger, though, which is a plus. Best Mecha is probably Engine Dai-Shogun. Haven't seen the movie, but it's a black samurai redeco of the already snazzy Engine-Oh. Looks good. Second place probably goes to Wonder Gosei Great, with Spino-Dai-Oh in third.

For me, the best team up movie is Oh vs Kaku.
Also, the best summer movie is a toss up between GoGoV's Zeek movie and Abaranger's AbareSummer Deluxe. |
