That would be the only allowable justification.

This episode was disappointing.
The direction they went was perfect - Tyler loses control and it takes his father, revealing he's the Aqua Ranger, to snap him out of his funk. But the reaction to seeing your father, who has been missing and presumed dead for TEN YEARS, was a simple hug and then run off to battle? Where's the teary eyed reunion? Where's the bit of angst of "You've been here all this time ... and you never bothered to reach out to me?" that EVERY NORMAL PERSON would have? No. Just a hug and a quick "let's team up and fight and by team up I mean watch me use this new power while you stand in the background with my team who doesn't know who you are but we've been looking for you since the beginning and no one bothers to exclaim omg the Aqua Ranger is here!". Even more disappointing was they didn't use the Ankylo Zord, which would have added at least a LITTLE bit of drama to what should have been a drama-filled episode. For an episode of Power Rangers that actually concluded a 26 episode story line, it felt rushed, chopped up, and rushed out of production. I mean shoot, you can even hear the echo from the ADR for all of Tyler's dad's lines (if you didn't know, the actor who plays him is not the same person who is voicing him - think Trey of Triforia and Brad Hawkins). 2/5 for me and the realization that the honeymoon with Dino Charge/Dino Supercharge is over. When Davi Santos mentioned in his interview with RangerCrew that, in the second half of filming (ie: Dino Supercharge) the crew was much less willing to let the actors have fun or explore their characters or suggest different ideas to the scenes I was afraid that would mean that Chip's production schedule got tightened up or took too long and it was about rushing to finish things. Looks like I might have been right.

All the zord footage is American, there's no reason to have her piloting her own zord or doing something. As Paladin said, all they need is one simple line of Kendall saying that she needs to stay behind, and it'd be fine.

I would agree with you in terms of the copy-paste season we got (Samurai), but not for Dino Charge. With the NZ film grants they received for, not only filming in NZ, but having a kiwi character (and actor), and more than 90%of the crew being kiwi, their budget is bigger than previous Neo-Saban seasons. Because of this, we've had plenty of uses of original footage and they can easily do it more with this season (as they have showed).

Personally speaking though this episode felt very anti-climatic to me in regards to the "missing relative plot" and I can't help but look at Lost Galaxy and Mystic Force which I think did it better.

I totally agree with Kickback, as fun as this episode was to sort of chop up in terms of actual quality it was kinda lack luster but I still had fun watching it due to watching it with someone else and him and I bantering back and forth about some of the really big inconsistencies in this and frankly most of this season. Like don't get me wrong but it's not getting better than last season, in fact some of the character development seems to be regressing in a manner. Hopefully it starts to turn around again since we have one, if we are lucky 2, more ranger reveals left and this one seemed kind of meh. Like even he spoiled himself by saying Tyler's name right before demorphing. Anyways I gave it a 3/5 because it was kind of meh, but it wasn't the stranger pillow episode.

9 down, 1 to go. It makes sense why Tyler's dad is really young now. So since his dad is Aqua, does anyone else get the feeling that Keeper will be Silver?
