I never got around to watching much Decade, the concept and how they were doing it didn't seem all that appealing to me. And it sounds like it's one of the less well received shows, but then again so are some of my favs at times.
While Decade wasn't on my watch list, I did randomly watch the movie All Riders vs. Dai-Shocker and oddly enough loved it. One of the more entertaining toku movies I've seen, I even enjoyed it more than the 199 Hero Super Sentai movie etc. I may've liked it better than OOO and Den-O versus Shocker, even though that movie told more of a coherent story. Anyways, *spoiler*, I loved how Tsukasa was the leader of Dai-Shocker, and how he immediately sold out his friends and desired conquest of all the worlds. That and the very gothic retro classic feel and homage to that Kamen Rider flavor of the past, I just loved that aspect. And when he runs into Riderman played by Gackt, I mean, you know you're watching a classic (Well, that's debatable ). Though that plot ended up being underdeveloped, and he eventually went back to being good really fast after getting betrayed, just because he was lonely I guess, ha. But still, fun flick. To the point of the topic, it seems like this is a very underdeveloped element, apparently even debatable if it's canon in the show itself. It sounds like the last couple episodes don't really reflect that, and his friends never bring this up again I guess? It seems like it could've be one of the cooler aspects that would've really made that series stand out. I haven't watched Superhero Taisen yet, I'm pumped for that, anyways I know Dai-Shocker and Tsukasa are back in that. Not that all these movies could really be one canon, but does that movie continue those ideas at all? Also, I know this is very post-Death Note and maybe "grimdark" some say, but I'd love to see a Kamen Rider or toku show in general that really stars a morally corrupt antihero/villain. I know that doesn't fit in SuperHeroTime, but that'd be cool to see. Maybe another movie. I like the touching heroism of good people, but it's also fun to see other takes on this genre.
