I was honestly hoping that the students in the dojo would pull a Changeman pose reference with their aerobics outfits.

I can't tell if this episode was good but it was entertaining for sure. In some sentai series, WTF episodes are my favorites like in ToQgers for example.
But in LuPato, we're in the second half of the show now and I would want to see the police closer to discover the thieves identities. There's a kind of statu quo because of Noel presence, if it doesn't break until the last episodes everything between will feel as filler I think.

Man, watching this live after Build was certainly a mood whiplash. I mean I still liked it but you couldn't get a Super Hero Time with more opposing episodes than this week.

So another filler episode. I'm tired of filler already.

Lately the Patorangers have been really disappointing. Not only have they not moved any closer to finding the identities of the Lupinrangers, they still don't even have a single idea of what the Lupin collection is.
I hate the fact that they are portrayed as unprofessional idiots always left out of the loop. Noel's presence does not help at all, his dealing with the Lupins seem to be far more entertaining than him being fake with the Pats. They should have called this season Lupinranger and introduced the Patorangers like a secondary rider. EX: (Beat riders and Energy Riders) or the dynamic between Decade and Diend. So I don't go into this show expecting much from the Patorangers. |

So, these last two episodes weren't by any of the usual writers, and it clearly shows. They're straight up, bona fide, indisputable filler, and I don't like to throw that word around.
That being said, I actually think this one was enjoyably wacky in the way Sentai filler ought to be. Last week was just kind of a snooze cruise by this show's high standards. These are "bad" episodes of LuPat, but they'd be decent ones in most other shows.
