One of the best 80's sentai. A show that plays seriously most of the times, but not spared of goofy moments. I found very funny that or "heroes" with ideals of "progress" and "peace" spent their studies to develop war machines, lazers, bulletproof suit, etc.
- Hey guys, what about helping mankind exploring space and stuff ? - Yeah, let's build a damn heavily armed giant robot ! What kind of academy was that ? School for promising mad scientists wannabe ? Great villains make good shows, and it works in this one. Plus, one is portrayed by Yutaka Hirose. The strong point of this serie. The ending is a bit...unexpected. There's an episode that introduce a time travel plot that made Bias really angry without explanation, but it's not used in the final episodes. I was really expecting this plot to pop up and induce a time loop about Pr.Bias. Oh, you are French! I know that France aired Liveman as Bioman3. It's kind akward that main characters already prepared with many machines and suits that short time. I definate agree with 'Great villains make good shows' , and also I loved acting of Yutaka Hirose. He really made good character development on 'Doctor Kenfu'. Ending was good but 'Little boy Bias' was kind a bummer to me.

And Maskman was titled as "Bioman 2" (I'm watching this one right now, it's been 25 years since the last time !). We got a lot of metal hero series aswell and some others obscure toku shows (Spectreman, Message from Space, X-Bomber).
The trend lasted for 8~9 years before fading to get replaced by Power Rangers. I also love intro song of Bioman3, I could naturally memorize the french liveman intro song even I can't speak French language. The melody was very friendly and nice. and I didn't know France aired metal heroes and obscure toku series. Thanks to your information!

It was alright. I thought that the two additional members were completely unnecessary, and the ending was probably one of the worst (in terms of being underwhelming and stupid) that I've seen in all of Sentai (so far). I don't regard it that highly, but it wasn't bad either. Yellow Lion was cool, kk.
EDIT: Oops, didn't notice that this was an old thread that was suddenly bumped... My bad... '^^ |
