I saw Disney's Doraemon episodes when they came out. To be honest, I was expecting a horrible Saban style Macekre, complete with bad puns, scenes edited, etc., even though I haven't seen Doraemon in Japanese. But wow, it blew me away with how surprisingly faithful and well acted it was! There were no bad jokes or puns, and everyone talked normally! Also, I had no idea Johnny Yong Bosch could pitch his voice like that, and Mona Marshall's gravely voice fits Doraemon very well, especially considering she's really getting up in years. I even have the first episode DVRed so I can show it to my family someday.
