You can't really attack when you're on the bike so it really is just used to get from point a to point b. |

Well, now that I actually have my copy of the first game and have managed to play it for a bit I am definitely down for the sequel.
I'm not all that far into the game. I've only unlocked two additional riders (W and Hibiki) and done their first respective stages. It's been pretty fun though. It's a nice bit of power fantasy fulfillment, and playing on hard has..not actually provided all that much of a challenge, aside from one of the few things in recent gaming memory I can in all honesty call "cheap", which was the lightning storm part of the little mini-gauntlet before facing Weather at the end of W's stage. Getting juggled from "perfectly timed/placed" lightning bolt to "perfectly timed/placed" lightning bolt until I was basically dead when I finally fought Weather was really really irritating, and I died quite a few times before finally beating the stage. They do manage to make playing as the different riders feel, well, different. Hibiki is an absolute beast as well, love playing as him, he combos like a mother ****er hahahaha. Bike play definitely needs to be improved. Hell add in some on-bike combat and I'll be happy. Controlling them in the first takes a bit of getting used to, and even when you are used to it it never quite feels right. Oh and I really hope the new game just has the licensed music instead of releasing two separate versions of the game, charging us a premium if we want to REALLY feel like we are playing a Kamen Rider game. Part of me really wants to put all the appropriate songs on my PS3 to make use of the custom soundtrack option to make my standard version sound like the premium one, but I heard that running custom soundtracks makes the game lag really bad. Speaking on that, I haven't had much in the way of really bad lag yet. Even having Hibiki spam fireballs into a ton of bakeneko and rat fangires doesn't slow the game to a chug. Do need more secondary riders playable. Hell give me all the Gaim and Ryuki riders and I'll be oh so very happy.

The website has confirmed that there will be regular (7120 yen) and TV Premium Sound (10450 yen) editions, actually. Sorry about that.

I mean, I kinda get why they have to, licensing is probably not cheap, but still...lame >_<

The premium sound version is even more pointless due to the fact that the game lets you port custom tracks. Last edited by Kiryu; 02-13-2014 at 11:21 PM.. |

Still debating on if I want to get the appropriate tracks onto my PS3 to set up the custom track list to actually play like the tv sound edition, but I've heard from others that it really hurts the performance of the game. I mean I've not had much in the way of major or noticeable frame rate dips, maybe a couple times here or there, the game runs much better than I had been led to believe, but it does seem almost borderline and that taxing it too much could lead to some real issues.
It was actually kinda funny, playing as Fourze the other night I was kicking so much ass I kinda..almost broke the game. I was in elec states and just spamming some of his attacks and ended up like getting stuck in the ground or something, I dunno exactly what happened but I couldn't get on my bike, I couldn't move properly, I kept like ending up all over the map. Thankfully a waste yummy grabbed me and that seemed to fix the problem. I wish I had that all on video it was..something hahaha.

Guys, I have an idea on how to get this game localized.
When the game comes out for Wii U, those of you that can access Miiverse post to the community asking for a download only localized version of the game. They have to respond if we do that. |

Yeah that's not gonna happen. If the first game didn't get localized the chances of this one getting out there is slim. Better just to import and not worry about that the game is easy enough to understand even without a firm grasp of Japanese.

I can attest to that, it takes a few hours to figure out everything, but given time you can get by. And the story is pretty much on the levels of the super hero taisen movies, just an excuse to blow up monsters with rider kicks, so not much to miss. |

Yeah and the actual meat of the game are moments straight of the TV Shows. Really the only thing you'll be missing out on are the after-mission conversations but someone on youtube subbed those.
