Yeah.I know on most of the models you can take their helmet off and pose their eye.I'll have to post a picture of how it works.

The real grade has it so that when you turn the head, the eye moves with it.

Other grades have it too,but in a different way. It's a cheap way,but adds some more character to the Zaku.

I need to watch more Gundam. I have a whole bunch of it. I did start watching Wing but stopped(for no real reason) just before Epyon is introduced. I was into the model kits for a while. Then I got into toku stuff and Gundam models sort of took a back seat. I still get that model kit itch every once in a while.
Deathscythe is by far my favorite. If they ever make a PG Deathscythe Hell Custom, it is SO bought.

The Age designs haven't piqued my interest the same way that the OO designs did. Maybe that's why I fell out after OO, and it didn't help that the OO movie was one of the most awful pieces of Gundam fiction I've ever seen. Once I finish watching the rest of Unicorn I'll probably hit up Age.
On the topic of Unicorn, if you've seen at least the original Gundam, Zeta, and Char's Counterattack then it's right up your alley. Tons of references and little nods to those series with some great mecha designs. I've seen the first 2 episodes so far and loved them. Though episode is a generous term when each one is over an hour long. I think this formula is probably what would have made F91 more successful. To each his own. I was tired of seeing Gundam fiction that was BSing themselves as being "hard sci-fi" yet falling into almost predictable templates of psychics and mecha and two sides that aren't really wrong...just opposed blah blah blah. I respect the fact that the OO team went full-fledged to break the mold by introducing a radically different take on truly Alien life rather than go with some Macross-flavored BS and still relevant with the overarching theme that people can change and peace can be attained if ulterior motives are put aside in place of actual understanding. I'm probably going to piss off plenty of people for saying this but as a person that has seen the Original series, 08th MS Team, Stardust Memories, War in a Pocket , G Gundam, F91 and a little of Wing and SEED/Destiny, OO is probably the most compelling series of the bunch both story and design wise. And I HATED it at the beginning because I thought it was just another take on the Wing formula. |

But the movie was really unnecessary. Which makes me really sad because I was incredibly pumped for it at the time

How it works is the black disk the monoeye is on can spin. You just take the helmet off and move it.
