Ordered Fourze and Ghost, but will likely pass on these. These recent releases are too "clean" to replace their predecessors.

I'm surprised they are the same price. Dragreder seems like a significantly more substantial 'accessory' than the corpse that Kuuga comes with.

Having just watched Ryuki I don't even need a full hand to count the number of times he used Guard Vent on his shoulders, so I don't know why figures keep doing it and feature it prominently in accessory shots.
... buuuut, the way they've done it here looks genuinely fantastic; like some sort of winged aesthetic. In general I kinda like how they've redone the vents; rather than using every part of the body possible, they've added little sections for the Guard Vent, made the part use of Strike Vent a lot more prominent, and made Dragredder's tail a sheath for the sword. It's all really cool. And, yeah, Dragredder himself looks sooo good. I agree with the assertion that it feels like you get a lot more out of Ryuki than Kuuga (and frankly, having also recently watched Kuuga; the fact he comes with a bloody corpse is extremely out of character for Godai...) |

I'm surprised by how much I dig this Kuuga. When all four were first shown, it was my least favorite. I would've been perfectly fine with it never being made.
Now that all of them are happening - I want Kuuga the most. I don't know why, he looks so aesthetically pleasing to me. Maybe it's also because I could really see an updated / reboot version of Kuuga with this kind of suit working. And even though it gets a bit of a short stick accessory wise - the base is epic. I really like it. You can either have Kuuga stand over it triumphantly or use it to display him rider-kicking the Gurongi into the ground. I don’t know if I'll end up buying it but if I were to choose one, I would get Kuuga. Even though they are all fantastic. Ryuki has insane display value with the inclusion of Dragreder and the weapons. It's not like it's a trophy or something, just a Gurongi he smashed into the ground |
