This toy is great. I have the BOJ one, and I think this one improves on the original in at least one respect, that being the dino tail. I like how it bends here. The original was a pain to attach to the dino and hinders some of the articulation by being so stiff.

I do plan on getting it, but I'll wait for the ToysRus Ultimate Legendary Megazord 3-pack.

I hated this... until I saw that pic of it combined with the Zeo Racer. Crap, now I want one.

In all honesty it isn't a terrible toy. As I've come to expect from BOA it does take quite a few liberties with the design but it's a decent toy. I'd still recommend the original DX Gozyujin for it's accuracy but the Q-Rex is a pretty fun figure.

I feel that it's a pretty good figure, especially for those of us not willing to drop hundreds of dollars to import the Japanese version.
--I managed to snag one from Walmart for $24.99...which is the price I told the cashier when it didn't ring up. She didn't even blink when she entered in that price. |

I'd rather have the DX. Not that I hate this version. It's by far the best looking BoA to come out of SMF, and I like they kept most the functionality. I'd just rather personally have the DX.

After seeing the original, they really need to keep the paint apps up. Especially if they're going to take all that functionality out of the American version.

Thank you.
Your second set of images kind of answered a question for me. I recently bought the Turbo Falcon Megazord, with plans to paint it as a Zord for my fantasy "7th (usually MMPR) Ranger". So far I have the (American) Ranger Key parts for this one, but haven't started painting. If someone has (succesfully custom-made a "Triassic Ranger Key", PM me). In the meantime, PROO Black is my preferred (F1 mode) driver. Anyway, what I want to see are gallery photos of the Turbo Falcon MZ "zord building" with the 2010/Legacy MMPR Megazord or Dragonzord. I have this image in my head of the TFMZ's parts combining with the Tyrannosaurus (and Pterodactyl) while the other 4 are combined in "Dragonzord, Fighting Mode". Thank you for hearing me out. -- Cybertronian. |
