This custom makes me wish that Bandai will start producing DX figures with full articulation

I am jealous now o.o
And it very much makes me wish I could somehow make Thunder Megazord like that. Last edited by Sentai; 06-17-2012 at 05:12 AM.. |

I wonder if you are going to do the same to the rest of the zords in that line

Beautiful custom, seamless in every way!
Won't happen for a while, sadly. I wish they'd at least focus on basic articulation, such as the arms and head. Go-buster Ace is a step in the right direction at least.

Ok, wow. I was not expecting my work to be front-paged. Ever.
I really am quite flattered and I thank the administrators for deeming this piece worthy. To address a few comments: "This custom makes me wish that Bandai will start producing DX figures with full articulation" "Won't happen for a while, sadly. I wish they'd at least focus on basic articulation, such as the arms and head. Go-buster Ace is a step in the right direction at least. " - I don't even understand why articulation has been such a problem for Power Ranger/Super Sentai figures. All of the arm articulation, torso/waist, and leg articulation came from a 10 inch Gundam that Bandai themselves produce. They're obviously capable of it, they just don't do it. "Thats awesome! I never even got around to finishing mine. Can it still combine?" -Partially. You could still attach the griffin, unicorn, firebird, and the lion chest(back) plate. The lion zord pieces that attaches to the shoulders no longer can. Looking back, I kind of wish I would have went the whole 9 yards but making an articulated Mega Tigerzord could happen somewhere down the line. "I wonder if you are going to do the same to the rest of the zords in that line" - Well, that's the plan. I have everything lined up to do the season 1 and season 2 megazords and would like to begin construction soon. They won't break down into individual zords, but they will be more proportional, super articulated, and close to 12 inches tall. You see, I've had this custom planned for 2 years now but college prevented me from working on it. I only graduated in May and with some down-time, cranked this out. I'm interviewing for a few different jobs here shortly and getting one would mean that I may need to put any future custom plans on hold. Thank you again, Tokunation, for your kind comments. It certainly validates the 30+ hours that went into making this. |
