Guys, hold your seats. The Gundam Unicorn novel series the OVAs originates from is getting an 11th installment early next year out of nowhere. After the novels ended around 2009, 2010, there's suddenly going to be a new volume.
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...ly-2016/.96920 My main concern is that will an episode 8 for Unicorn be made due to this if this has any relevant story content. I mean, Episode 7 just left us hanging with that battle with the one ship. Maybe we can get an in series explanation of Full Frontal without having to look it up in the books/online? Still, that's very interesting. |

Well wouldn't they have announced it at the same time as the Vita version if they had any intention of bringing it over? Look at how many Japanese games get a PS4/Vita dual release in the US. It just seems strange to me.

Gundam Extreme VS' primary market is Japan. The way the series primarily works is that there is an Arcade game that is one version ahead of what is released on consoles (Ex: PS3 with Full boost now and Arcades with Maxi Boost). That's all well and good since Japan still has a lot of money coming in from arcades, and the developers try to please both the console and arcade players with exclusive suits/features, e.t.c. And they usually try to release the next iteration on console after the arcade version has upgraded to their next version, so there isn't an arcade drought like what happened when Full Boost PS3 came out before Maxi Boost Arcade. But they usually announce the console version is coming in the later half of the year before it comes out. The problem is that there is no announcement for Maxi Boost on PS4 because this Vita game is in the way taking up the air. Or even if we know the game exists. I think Bandai is afraid of saying anything about an VS game on console next as it would take away from Force's sales. And if they announced Force localization alongside Maxi Boost PS4 announcement/localization, Force would have suffered. Why would anyone in the west want the Single Player Vita spin-off if they knew in the coming months the real VS game would come out? |

Well, now that was an episode.
It worked really well for an emotional episode, never too dramatic but always full of heart. Smooth Mika. Quote:
Granted, second sources and all that, so do take it with a grain of salt. |

Also is interesting that despite finding an interest with Kudelia, I think Atra would be okay with this, after learning about the whole polygamy thing. If both Kudelia and Atra are down with this, Mika is gonna be fucking happy as hell by the end of the show, both literally and figuratively. Quote:
From what I gather after the Unicorn's newtype frame awakens it straight up gains sentience and chooses to leave.

So in the future We've stopped having funerals? Or is this another one of those "we're human debris, we don't matter" kind of things? Because the second idea makes sense, though I don't see how Mars can't have had a single funeral that the boys could have heard of.
Also, this is the most forward romantic Gundam I've seen, let alone Shounen anime. Did not expect that from Mika, nor the random make-out session during that meeting.

I saw that episode today. Kudelia is so cute and awkward in a legitimate way and not the usual anime kind where they make the girl clumsy/incompetent. Made that scene a lot more interesting.

If both Kudelia and Atra are down with this, Mika is gonna be fucking happy as hell by the end of the show, both literally and figuratively. Huh. Interesting, sort of what happened in episode 7, kinda. Tacky as hell and convenient to keep the technology out of later installments but whatever.

And yeah, that make out scene was the most random thing I have seen in this show so far. Naze essentially saying "Well, someone died, let's fuck to make a new kid to replace him" just was out of place. Made sense for his character and the role of the scene but just... ew.... Quote:

I'm gonna try to answer this in the best way that I understand it, but Japanese companies like Bandai still make no fucking sense to me even when I try to rationalize it.
