The manual must be somewhere inside the case.

It is. It usually is laying on top of the belt itself.

I guess he found time to read it, as he spent more of the season ironing than he did actually fighting or protecting people.

That first pose is his pre Rider kick pose.
He flicks his wrist when he transforms. |

I do think Takaiwa does have an explaination for those little things.
Here are my guess Crouch down pose: - Setting the pointer - Getting ready to run and jump - Getting ready to feel the recoil generated by the photon stream rush. It is said that the user of the gear will have to withstand the shock generated by the photon blood rush during transformation, and the shocks generated after using Crimson Smash is 3 ~ 4 times greater than the one during transformation. Flapping hand: - Try to wake up the body before going numb after all the shocks. |

If only we actually got that from the actual show...
It's weird that a LOT more of Toku powers involve a direct impact on the user, and yet it's also a medium that really never truly explore those effects on the body compared to its American counterparts and their own spandex clad heroes, who seem much more interested in the ramifications of powers even if they aren't ever quite as outwards as toku are in how immediate these effects are.

every rider has a pose of their own. takumi just has the crouch pose. however, am i the only one that notices that his rider mannerisms don't match him at all?
it's like when he transforms, he's a totally different person

That's a big issue with all of Inoue's shows. Shouichi and Wataru went through the exact same thing.

I actually find that a problem with a LOT of toku shows. I find it quite bad that I don't need a pen and paper to write down the amount of characters where I actually believed it was them in the suit, as I can count that on my hands with fingers to spare.
