It's very likely that there wouldn't be much of any way to innovate the design, so using the Legacy as a basis makes sense. There's only so much you can do with a brick with wheels thats intended to be a giant scooter for two other robots I suppose. But in much the same way that the Artisan Dino Buckler improves on the Legacy and it's shortcomings, I imagine this too will be an improvement.

Unlike Megazord and Dragonzord, Titanus looks almost exactly the same as his Legacy release; since I started SOC, I gotta finish it.

The thought that this might be so expensive where I can hear both people and wallets cry just brings a smile to my face. Does this like make me a villain?

I'm genuinely curious if the entire Mini Pla Ultrazord could fit in his back cavity.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that SOC is rounding out the team for the collectors, but nothing I see here warrants my need to spend that kind of money on this or any of the SOC stuff.
I absolutely understand that these blow the Legacy and original versions out of the water, no doubt, but for a lot of fans...these are priced way beyond our spending limits and Titanus even more so. I love that they add articulation to the SOC versions, it's great! That said, a lot of people wanted die-cast, painted, great looking mecha for their collection and Legacy made that happen. Aside from added articulation (which is great!), I don't see enough in the series for me (and I'm sure I'm not alone) to go and rebuy all of this at a much higher price point when it's all going to sit on display and not really get played with anyway. Plus, knowing that SOC Titanus is probably based somewhat on Legacy and might even use the same mold, to some degree, I just can't justify the purchase to myself. If you can, more power to you, I hope they're everything you've hoped for. Me, on the other hand, I just can't do it. It sure is pretty, though. Doggone. |

I already have the preorder on Dragon Caesar, and I have Daizyujin, so I might as well just bite the bullet.

I totally understand though. This stuff's expensive. I guess it's my trade off for not really going into high end for anything else. I don't buy MP Transformers, and generally only buy a few unofficial upgrade kits. |

That price point seems reasonable. Coming in at the same price as DaiZyuJin itself means they're aware and considering that King Brachion doesn't really do much on its own.
But when compared to prices for other Titanus releases.. I don't know if I will be picking this up to complete my SOC Zyuranger set or not. |

For only about $260 US dollars I’m actually kind of impressed. I was thinking this would go anywhere between $300 to $400. I wouldn’t be surprised if you could find him for $250 or less with a little bit of browsing once preorders go up.
I missed out on the legacy Titanus and would never pay those after market prices, so this is a much welcomed surprise. My main concern is the screw holes on the front legs. With this being an Soul if Chogokin release I was kind of expecting an otherwise flush look even if this is only a prototype. It kind of makes you wonder if what’s on display really is only a legacy Titanus place holder. Also can anyone see any noticeable differences between this and the legacy Titanus? |
