A sudden update from SHOUT today has at last given us a solid date for both shows and an update on what's going on -- as things stand, they plan to release Ryuki in November and Zero-One in January. A further tweet clarified that there is to be a press release on Zero-One's physical release soon, but that we can expect pre-orders to go up in Fall.

As Mr. Burns puts it, "Excellent!"
I was even planning to watch Ryuki after I start and then finished up on Agito and I'm even more than halfway through its US counterpart, Dragon Knight, which I'm seriously enjoying. |

Glad we have an update and that they're taking time to make these releases good. Hopefully Zero-One sells well enough for us to get other shows on Blu-Ray.

"We also need to maintain the quality you've come to expect from us" What a way to assure fans, especially after the Gridman stuff

Critical as I've been of Team Rider-related stuff before, something I will give praise to is the subs themselves. Kuuga and Kamen Rider's SHOUT subs were of genuinely high quality that in many ways exceeded what we had before; so I imagine that Ryuki and 01 will follow through with that -- especially with how long we've been waiting. Another reply in that thread also seems to imply they went and re-did their Ryuki subs even though they said they were already done at announcement; so clearly they're putting a lot of thought and effort into these.
I do think the long waiting times could be stemmed by doing movies or other spin-off content in the meantime, or one-off projects like ZX or J; or even honestly licensing already-existing high-quality fansubs for certain recent shows. But at the very least the long waiting time seems to guarantee we get a good product at the end of it all

The Gridman release was not from Shout Factory.

I generally have really liked Shout's subtitles, even if they have occasional hiccups, so I'm happy to see them expanding what they offer. Definitely going to get the Zero-One Blu-Ray.
