What made me laugh when I found out was that since he is a method actor according to trivia about him, could it be possible he only ate jello and candy shaped like energon and made his co-workers refer to him as Magnus while working on the show?
That aside I really loved Ernie Hudson as Fowler as much as I loved Ironside as Magnus. Oh, right I forgot. If you are a fan of a horror film called Reanimator Jeffrey Combs who was a part of that movie voiced Ratchet and one of the episodes was a nod to that movie if I recall. One funny voice actor is the one for Bulkhead as he does the same voice for the principle from American Dad. So just imagine swapping the audio. Quote:
for those wanting something a bit different I will also strongly recommend Prime's follow-up series, Robots In Disguise.
The animation is very different (lot more vibrant, extra colors & some VERY unique character designs) and the cast remains top-notch. While the writing definitely skews a bit younger than Prime's story, there's some very creative takes on nearly all the characters. |

Personally I enjoyed Transformers Prime. They managed to give me a decent conclusion in the end, which I think is uncommon in American animation where shows tend to conclude abruptly or just mid-way because of reasons, human companions *cough*WB cancelling Young Justice and Thundercats*cough* I thought were nice, and most of the transformer designs worked well for me despite worries prior to the show, specifically Smokescreen and Dreadwing. Smokescreen as a car is just superb and I like both paint jobs that he had throughout the show.
Robots In Disguise I like because Bumblebee finally stopped talking like R2-D2 and began to actually talk, and I think what really sold me on the show was the roster of the Autobots. Bumblebee felt like a more polished version of TF: Energon's Hot Shot, Sideswipe felt like the perfect rookie for Bumblebee to try and handle, Strongarm being the model soldier who needs to sometimes bend the rules was fun to watch, Fix-it was not as annoying as I though, and Grimlock was the perfect bull in a china shop. Come to think of it, the core five does have a subtle super sentai dynamic going on. As for Steeljaw, I think what I liked was that him definitely not being a Megatron-type main villain was what peaked my interest. Last but not least Russell and Denny felt like a nice homage to Spike and Sparkplug.

Japan can't even pull off an animated Transformers show.

They feel like Brave without any of the imagination or energy.

A Japanese live action Transformers show could be fun if they use suits for the robots. TFW and Tokunation will end up crossing over if that happens
