Figured I'd get one of these started for any fans of Lego to share in discussion, share photos, creations, and find inspiration.
Lets discuss and see picks of some bricks! |

Lego sure is getting interesting this year with the double whammy dream licenses of Lego Superheroes and the Hobbit, more great Star Wars stuff and awesome and imaginative non-licensed sets.
Has anyone seen the new Spring sets in stores yet? I was hoping to find some Lego Superheroes sets.

Yeah that's the bad thing. That's why I go through periods of buying lots of Lego and then totally ignoring it. Hell I just got in a $150 set yesterday |

I absolutely love Legos, but I rarely buy them anymore. I usually get maybe one kit a year unless there's something that really catches my eye.
In fact, I actually got one yesterday: the Lex Luthor battle armor with Superman and Wonder Woman. I got it mainly for the minifigs, but I will be damned if it hasn't turned out to be one of the most fun kits I've ever assembled. This thing is crazy poseable and a whole lot of fun to mess around with. I have a family member who's a big Harry Potter fan, too, so I've bought her a few kits in the last couple years, mostly just the small things so she can get a wide range of characters. And occasionally I get to borrow them if I ask nicely. |

I saw the Super Star Destroyer at the Lego store in Rockefeller Center in NYC, that is a thing of beauty, but I didn't even bother checking out the price tag though

Since it's not out yet, I'll probably look for the Superman, Wonder Woman and Lex Luthor set. That one's a bargain too, thanks for the photos Switchblade!

Just got in my first big boy Lego set. I always eye these things in the store, in the catalog, online, but never pull the trigger due to just how pricey they are. And then there is plenty of regret when it disappears and the price has tripled on ebay. I've done some studying and research and decided on this one:
Although I REALLY wanted the Maersk Ship (already gone) and the Maersk Train (still around), I decided on this entry in the modular series. I have long missed out on the Cafe Corner and Green Grocer, and those prices are ridiculous on eBay. I found out that Lego puts out one new entry in the modular series each year. And eventually the oldest one disappears for good and you are left to the secondary market to get them. Well the Fire House is the oldest right now, so I decided to go ahead and drop the coin and get it before I can't anymore. The Maersk Train will be next, followed by the Grand Emporium. It feels real good to add this one to my collection. Now I just need to put together and appropriate work bench to work on Lego builds, and other geek miscellany (taking photos, doing dios, custom work, repairs, etc). |

Sweet, hope to see photos soon! My friend is a fan of the modular series, so he got the emporium and another set (not sure, since I don't follow these "big boy" sets). Not sure if he has gotten this or not, but they're very worth it!
