Lot of things going on today that I don't get without subs this time. I'll rewatch later.
Ren sure is quite the hyperactive character. I like his wild fighting style and it matches well with Desast to give a great fight scene. Happy that Daishinji is confirmed as being a rider later on. I would have prefered a metal/iron based one but it's fine if he is Sound/Slash. |

"We may be ninjas but we don't hide! Hiding doesn't stop party night!"
Kenzan is my favorite Sword Rider so far. Besides being a ninja and fast, Ren has a lot of crazy energy and a psychopathic laugh. Despite being on the heroes' side, he's more committed to proving himself as a fighter than their crusade against Megid. He speaks very casually, even calling their boss Sophia with the "chan" suffix. Sure, it was rude to call Touma a noob after meeting him but when I compare Touma to Rintarou, I think it's a fair critique. Rintarou wasn't carrying any auxiliary books in his debut since he left Tenkuu No Pegasus back at the base, testing the limits of his lesser forms to see how far he can push himself before resorting to upgrades. Touma acts just like a typical Primary Rider, always jumping to his strongest forms now that the "3 books is dangerous!" thing doesn't seem to be sticking at all. According to Daishinji, the bigger problem is that the Seiken Swords require more regular maintenance, like Touma is trying to play a shiny new game on a low-spec PC. It's interesting how the wind elemental Kobuta San Kyodai can be used for wind and fire attacks depending on which Rider uses it, which makes sense considering the wolf antagonist was wind elemental but met his death by fire, just like the witch in Hanselnuts To Gretel. Kenzan is better attuned to it though since he's able to manifest the OP brick house while Saber is stuck with the fragile straw house, referencing Ren's desire to prove himself as the superior Rider. It's cool how these books reflect the characters who use them. I've seen people speculating that Ren's going to die but in the original faerie tale, the pig with the brick house is the only character who survives. Quote:
Yep, confirmed. Awesome find.
Last time a ranger played a rider that was the same color was Keiichi Wada aka Ryo/Ryuranger as Sakakibara/former Ryuki in the 13 Riders special. Of course, if we include Joji Shibue who was a blue rider(Ibuki) and then a blue ranger(Master Ryusoul Blue) this makes Mikami the 3rd person to do so. Tokuyama who was Yaguruma and the first TheBee I will not include cause TheBee is metallic yellow and not gold. I get why you'd exclude The Bee but Ibuki is only as blue as Hibiki (in his default form) is red so I think that should also be excluded. Dude, you just made a double pun right there and didn't notice!

Someone translated the Saberscript letters (or whatever they're called) from the book Touma was reading in this episode.

Rintaro is my favorite Rider so far and I'm rooting for him to get his sweet vengeance.
I feel like he is the glue holding the whole team together right now.
