Up to episode 12 of Megaforce and it hasnt improved one bit. The problems are still all there. Robo Knight is boring as hell and his constant "saving the earths environment" doesnt sound nearly as cool as they might have thought. Only thing I like about him is that he sounds like an extremely bored Peter Weller
The Mutants are just as boring as the Aliens. The way they came into the show was also pretty lazy and terrible. Vrak just found them and there they where. Its just so anitclimactic like pretty much everything in the show. Things just happen. |

You know, that Episode 3 moment was when I quit the show. Which was a shame, since I would have given it more of a chance.

I´m just watching it only to see how lazy the show will get. |

I was still pretty entertained by the show until Episode 3's moment. I just ... that moment just punched me in the face. I mean, Power Rangers has never been seamlessly perfect; the odd Japanese sign appears here and there, the Rangers are in the quarry one moment and in the city the next. Even RPM had some weird changes of scenery. But all that is excusable, it is simply the editors trying their best to work with what they've got. But that moment. That was a sign of apathy. I just couldn't wrap my head around it, because it's not even some aesthetic consistency. It's not like in In Space when suddenly video game elements appear out of nowhere. That's fine, it's the limitations of the footage. This one was a clear cut error that could EASILY have been fixed. I tried long and hard to reconcile those two scenes. I just couldn't explain it away. So when episode 4 came about ... I just wasn't that interested in watching anymore.

And the weird change of scenerey is just problem in toku in general but its a very minor one. Continuity errors like that in episode 3 or something that constantly happens in megaforce is that the scenery around them changes without them even moving. They didnt even try to find locations to shoot that fit the ones seen in the source material.

Highly disappointing. I mean a little bit of effort could really do wonders. In one of the earlier Dino Charge episodes they had a concurrent battle in the city and in a quarry. Seems like a weird scenery change, but a scene was added later to show that the quarry was in the city limits so it would make sense. That really impressed me, because even if it wasn't the best way to handle it, they at least tried.
Well, I still intend to watch Megaforce one day.

Actually watching Megaforce now makes me that much more impressed with how much they improved on Dino Charge. Dino Charge is taking pretty much everything that went wrong with this Show and does it right. The only episode in Dino Charge I wasnt really happy with was nine. The ending fight in that episode was pretty anticlimactic.

Its not a huge deal and I can easily see people not taking an issue with that. The problem with that episode is that its a character focused episode but big fight against the monster goes to a completely different ranger who only had a minor part in the episode. So you never get the proper fight scene the episode is building to.
