Im not saying that megaranger is a bad series. In fact this is my 12th sentai that Im watching (watching it with a friend and going to watch gobusters after this), but i can say its alright. it ranks under Jetman (#1), Liveman (#2), Gokaiger (#3), Maskman (#4, yeah #4, sue me), Shinkenger (#5), and Dekaranger (#6), so it ranks in the middle. It is, however, better than the other sentais that I've seen: Magiranger, ToQger, Zyuranger, Kyoryuger, and especially Ninninger which is definitely my least favorite of them. However, I have about 10 episodes to go so that might change and might be better than Dekaranger

I'm just saying generally, I don't see much praise or love for it here besides my constant nagging.

I dont blame you. Most people do the same thing with ToQger, which is a sentai that is not as bad as most people make it out to be, so i feel your pain a bit. I do admit that I love mega silver because he's funny and I love miku since she reminds me of Kagura which, is something that Ill admit, but I love kagura.

Toqger's a weird series to gauge. I haven't seen it but I know people who really love it and then people who really don't like it, but I think it's from the perspective you see it from.
Yeah, Miku and Yuusaku tend to be the characters that people like the most when they see the series. My personal favorite is Chisato, but personally I love all five characters and felt that this was one of the stronger casts in terms of characters in Sentai. Kenta also reminds me of myself.

Chisato is the greatest when it comes to being a fighter. I just outright love her fighting skills. Kouichiro, well....honestly, he's such a stick in the mud that I find him bland. Shun is hit and miss for me. At best, he's a clever SOB, but at worst, he's completely cold. I mean, he completely ignores Miku's feelings for him. Kenta is fine for me. I can relate to him somewhat, especially when I watch the series with my friend and says im wrong for it. I will agree with you and say that megaranger has one of the better cast of characters and casts of actors. Because looking at newer sentai and their actors (looking at takaharu's actor) the older sentai definitely put more effort into it. (not saying that all new sentai sucks in terms of acting)

I've just started Bioman, it's typical 80s Sentai formula, such a fast paced opening couple of eps, fun start though, I like the villains, I'll judge on the heroes as I go on, I just finished Gingaman before I started, loved that show, can't really fault anything with it.

Gingaman's amazing, I agree.
I think the key with enjoying Kouichiro is looking at him as assuming a leader-like role and looking at the point that he looks at the safety of other people before his, and how ego-less he is. It adds for a different version of the serious blacks that Sentai has had and it's awesome like that, and from the school standpoint he really takes his studies seriously and is working towards a successful future.

Was I the only one who liked Kouichirou in Megaranger?
I felt he balanced the dynamic with Kenta. Concerning Yuusaka, I felt he was at his weakest in terms of interest when morphed. Outside of costume, he was definitely my favorite, though.

yuusaka has his ups and downs in terms of when hes transformed. I mean he was cool when he had the 2.5 minute limit, now with that gone, he's just as powerful as a battlizer red. As for kouichiro, his school problems remind me of why I dont like Olga from Hey arnold. Get depressed from one TINY LITTLE MISTAKE.

I have mixed feelings on Mega, but I've only seen the show raw. It's next on my list to watch subtitled (at least until the Kaku DVD set comes out), but I've been so busy watching Gundam right now I don't have time for it. I'm also holding out on Power Rangers in Space until I watch Megaranger.
