For someone with a scale of justice motif, Balance really, REALLY like betraying people.

Man Josuke's voice actor is energetic as ever. Can't believe he used to be Ultraman Belial. I love the part where Gold and Red assemble their weapons.
And the ending theme just got even funnier when you see that Naga Ray is the most excited. And is Stinger a KKK member?! |

This episode really jumped up my hype even more now. Episode 3 looks to be very interesting with how Orange will join the team.

It was okay. I like Balance and Naga, and I didn't remember to mention it last week but I like how they keep the illusion of being in space and on different planets up. Yes its just people with blue or green makeup, some costumes and a CGI background, but it works for me.
So yeah, I could’ve actually enjoyed this episode. If not for this fucking awful Red. Why. Toss that garbage in the trash and have an actual character as the lead and this show would be really cool. It's not even necessarily his background, an adventurer who moves forward by getting incredibly lucky isn't a bad setup, it’s just that the protagonist is this dreadful screaming idiot again. I would say "It's Sentai, it's a kids show, what else could I expect" but I watched Zyuohger and Yamato was a thing. He wasn't perfect but a much, much better character. I will continue watching this for now because there is some good stuff going on and I'm interested to see where this goes once all 9 Kyurangers are there, but man if Lucky stays this fucking annoying I will just drop the show. I see no reason to torture myself with this fool every week. |

Same here. It was a good Episode, and once again I gotta commend this show for its worldbuilding. I'm really liking the way we get to explore different planets, and how they have a set up hierarchy within the villain factions that are in different constellations of the universe. As for our new characters, Naga(AKA Chase 2.0) easily has room for growth within the Series, while Balance seems like he'll probably not be as prominent, but is a possible character that can easily sway to more antagonistic decisions in the future(HAH! Cuz Scales...)
But yea.....THIS EPISODE.....I tried, I REALLY tried to give Lucky a pass last Episode, but....SIGH, this one just cements it. The guy frickin tosses something in the hologram of the universe, JUST SO HAPPENS to find the exact right planet they needed, JUST SO HAPPENS to run RIGHT into the two future team members, and IMMEDIATELY "knows" that they're the ones?!! WHAT KINDA BS IS THAT?!!! So not only does this guy have ridiculous luck, but now he just has insane prediction powers as well?! IIRC Balance & Naga didn't even have their Kyutama on them at the time, so how?!! This Episode confirms something I was worried about could be a potential flaw for this Series: Lucky=INFINITE DEUS EX MACHINAS. If Lucky just keeps on doing ridiculous things like these, then the show will lose interest, considering how they won't really have much to struggle for, since apparently Lucky can just toss a rock & get answers out of their situation. When I said this show had balls & could either sway to be very good or very bad, I wasn't at all taking into factor THIS ANNOYANCE OF A RED RANGER....

I know its just really early in the series but despite so much shit toei throw for audience, i just can't feel it.
maybe zyuohnger isn't good example because the writer is confused what to writer for the half of series but at least i invested on very first half of series until majority of the episodes is just fooder silly episodes. I fear the series hurt by this lucky guy, i mean for now none of the member really stands out as character in my opinion they just "there" Come on Toei why your good design heroes always hurt by your ass stories |

I finally got around to watching this week's episode. Oddly, it felt more rushed than the first one. Meet the new guys. Decide to steal with them. Betrayal! Unearned emotional moment (ironically being a moment of actual emotions). Another emotional moment! Double betrayal! New recruits! Fight. Robo fight. Poor Green! Lucky is annoying. Credits.
Overall, I wasn't as enamored as I was with the previous entry. Balance has joined Lucky and dog boy at the bottom of the character heap. (Also, the Overtime guys should know it's never lupus. ) I am enjoying the world building and some of the camera angles and the like make things seem a little fresher than they might otherwise. The robo stuff was, mostly, pretty good this week, though not as great as last week. I'm slightly cooled on the show but, at least for the time being, I'm keen to stick with it for the long haul. Also, this episode did convince me even more that I really want Kyuren-Oh. |
