Hey anyone here playing the Transformers TCG? I have some spare rares and thought I might offer em up here first, but I want to see if anyone here has interests.

As everyone knows, Blaster has just gotten a Vintage Reissue.
So it's kinda curious as to why Walmart tags the figure with the name of Soundwave's Japanese-Exclusive upgrade from Headmasters! |

Amazed it's $30, I figured they would try to sale it for at least $40 since it's bigger than G1 Astrotrain which was $40.

I did rewatch the 80s Transformers movie and it's still a fun movie. Not a perfect movie, but the animation is still amazing. The remaster from Shout Factory is wonderful and the movie looks great on my 4K TV. I still always like that they cast Judd Nelson and Leonard Nimoy to draw in people who are not familiar with the source material. They were the top billing actors after all.

That 80s movie Hot Rod figure looks good. GOAT material for sure.

Man, I didn't have any interest whatsoever in those non-transforming R.E.D. figures (Transformers Legends, basically), but GODDAMN do they have my number with a Prime Arcee figure. Instant purchase.

I hesitated to ask this question, but a thought about the original movie popped in.
The tagline for the classic animated film is "Beyond Good. Beyond Evil. Beyond Your Wildest Imagination"! This is remarkably similar to Friedrich Nietzsche's "Beyond Good and Evil". I looked up and down the TFWIKI page for the film, but they didn't bring up the tagline's origins. https://tfwiki.net/wiki/The_Transformers:_The_Movie Has anyone seen anything regarding who dreamed that tagline up and if they were specifically thinking about Nietzsche or not or if this is just a cosmic coincidence? |
