Good episode. The pacing was a bit rushed, but I still enjoyed it. Only real complaints are the silly villains and the fact that the gun morphers just won't shut the hell up (man, and people thought the Wizard Driver was bad).

Two episodes in and I'm still loving this show.Koichi Sakamoto sure knows how to get me immediately sold. There are some bits that bug me though.
I hate that they have to keep cutting to each Ranger in a black void switching out their batteries for another that looks exactly the same. They could easily just have that happen during the fight.I love the samba music during the gattai sequence, but they've gotta cut that footage down or speed up the combining at least. Even so,I just love this show so much already.I love seeing the Rangers have lives outside of being Rangers.Seeing a Ranger with a "daughter" is really cute.I was thinking the secret identity thing was gonna be an ongoing thing, but it's probably for the best if they deal with it quickly.I'm just happy that I can be excited about new Sentai episodes again. |

For the most part, I liked this episode, but the editing seemed really bad. It's like they decided to write a 30 minute plot that had to be told in 21 minutes. Plus, I have to say the mecha combining was over complicated and it just did nothing for me. There was also way too much CGI used in the fight. I just don't understand the point of the entire mech battles in this series right now. Yes, Sentai is about mecha fighting giant monsters, but so far, there seems to be no reason for it here.
I do like how the MOTW came into being. It gave me a Gingaman feel when they were going to be selected for which emotion will get a monster. |

Great to see Ayumi-chan again. Also, what a fun episode.

I did feel they would've been better off splitting the Blue and Pink stories into 2 episodes. Yes, it would've delayed combination by an episode, but Blue's family story can easily hold an episode on it's own, and it could've better fleshed out Pink's with an individual episode (Her bit seemed tacked on here).

Nice job blue, use the statue she wanted to protect to hit the enemy, breaking it.

Yeah, this bugs me too. At least with Go-Onger, Green and Black were late to the party, so they can be excused, but here, we see Black before Blue or Pink!
This episode is downloading. Also, anyone else notice posts in the Kyoryuger forum don't show up in the "New Posts" column? Or is that just me...

Well, don't know about you guys, but this episode rocked for me. I loved that the individual Kyoryugers are already showing quite a bit of personality, and the fights were as kinetic they were in the first episode.
Man, I gotta say, the suits look really good. Now that mech combination was GLORIOUS. It was so nice to see something elaborate and slow, and it seemed a majority of it was non-CGI. It ignited that spark of wonder for Super Sentai combinations that I had felt in the MMPR days. Fantastic first debut of the mecha! I noticed that too in the first episode and thought it was weird. Now it has happened again so I'm guessing its just some strange stylistic choice. Reminded me a lot of how Power Rangers would change scenery at a moments' notice to accomodate footage.

I felt this episode was paced better than the first. It focused on only three of the main team instead of all of them like episode one did (granted they pretty much had to do that in episode one). I think people are being a little unreasonable about the drawn-out combination sequence. This is the first time we are seeing the combination so of course it's going to be long! I'm pretty sure the debut of Gobuster-Oh was just as long. I bet it will be significantly shorter next week or at least by episode 5 or 6 (in case they draw it out with the Zactor and Parasaur combinations as well).
Otherwise it was a fun episode. I agree that they should've split Blue and Pink's stories into serparate episodes but I liked what we got. Looks like next week will be primarily be focusing on Green. Also, anyone else getting a Gekiranger vibe from the Kyoryujin cockpit scenes?
