It was an ok mid-season finale. It felt small though without any of the supporting cast making an appearance (except that one guy). It felt like a side project or something.
Anyway, let's see that time skip and new villains. I guess next week will be like new shows for both SS and KR.

Based on next week's preview, this is the first time since Goseiger we've had a villain faction switch mid-season right?
Not to mention it also looks like we might have a mid-season timeskip here? Which I'm pretty sure is a first for sentai?

I remember how the Bugnarok once seemed like generic evil guys at the start. However, since Jeremy's introduction and the reveal of his half-and-half nature, we were encouraged to think more about their lore and culture that turned them this way. I certainly didn't expect that I would feel bad for Deathnarak, but he's had such a tragic life, persecuted by humanity for historical events he had nothing to do with and never knowing the kindness of others, until the moment before his death.
I really appreciate the moral this show has been trying to convey so far, about the importance of judging a person only by their own actions, not the group they were born in to. Such discrimination can become a self-fulfilling prophecy, as Deathnarak became the villain that the legend depicted him to be, seeing no hope of his people being accepted in a world with that legend. At a heavy cost, Jeremy has succeeded him as king of the Bugnarok. Now, as the repentant author of the inciting legend, it's up to him to ensure a tragedy like that never happens again. Quote:

Not even a "might". It's totally confirmed! And yeah, this kind of thing has never happened right in the middle of a show before.
