It was recently revealed that the upcoming 20th Anniversary of the Power Rangers will be titled Power Rangers Megaforce. Leaving us with absolutely no idea if that's going to be for the Super Sentai series adaption of Goseiger or Gokaiger, fans continue to speculate.
So we here at TokuNation want to know what YOU think the Megaforce should be an adaption of - Goseiger or Gokaiger! Option 1 - Goseiger In the Sentai series, they were winged angels! Obviously that won't fly in an English adaption. Rumors speculate that Saban has a contractual agreement to adapt each series of Super Sentai (ie: no skipping like Dairanger). Are we going to see the "card motiff" morphing/powers brought over? Option 2 - Gokaiger The 35th Anniversary of Super Sentai was filled with every Sentai hero you can think of (except five - A Liveman(or was it Jetman?) hero, Gosei Green, DriveMaster, DekaBright, and DekaGold). We know that TOEI re-shot scenes of the Legendary War minus all non-USA Power Rangers teams (so Zyuranger though Go-Onger, minus Dairanger save for KibaRanger). We see scripts that discuss a "Silver Ranger", as well as making mention of "Legendary Rangers". Do you want Gokaiger as the 20th anniversary? Option 3 - I believe it will be a double-adaption! That's right - you somehow think Saban is going to pull off adapting both series somehow in the same year. Two different shows? Both teams existing in the same series, with one being a focus while the other is background? A mini-series with one adaption to lead in to the main season with the other? There's numerous possibilities, but you believe this is what will happen! Option 4 - I don't care about Power Rangers. This option is there for those who always whine when the option isn't there. Go ahead! Vote away! |

I'm having a considerably hard time believing it's gonna be Goseiger.

Option 3 - I believe it will be a double-adaption! Where there are toys to sell there will be a show to make :P
Im thinking they could utilize the footage from the 199 Movie as well for the team up between the 2 teams as a bridge midseason or even as the intro to the series as a whole. I hope they use both teams anyway so that's how I voted. |

I voted option 3.
Here's my reasoning, in way too many words. Saban is all about making the money, saving the money, and getting the most bang for his buck. By managing to adapt both series (Goseiger and Gokaiger), he can use the following movies: Shinkenger vs. Goseiger and Goseiger vs Gokagier. The first movie features Shinkenger, Goseiger, *AND* Gokaiger. The second has the Legendary War (not that all clips can be used but the "special heroes" footage can be for sure). If we follow the casting scripts, the "Silver Ranger" (who lost his morpher) runs in to a "Legendary Ranger" (in the actual episode, this is a DaiRanger character who at one point were nearly brought on to Power Rangers to be known as "Legendary Rangers") but whose to say they can't replace that with Goseiger suits/characters instead? It would allow adaption of Goseiger suits and maybe even mechs, give GoseiKnight footage a usefulness (not to mention GokaiSilver Gold Mode no need for "fixing" if they skipped Goseiger altogether). Plus it allows wiggle room for continuity so there's no issues with trying to do a massive "all Power Rangers" story. That's an opportunity that may be too good for Saban to pass up. Doing Goseiger as the anniversary series doesn't make a ton of sense given the entire premise of Gokaiger. It should be exciting to find out! |

Option 3. There's so much potential in there that Saban would be crazy not to utilise it.

Sentai - if they adapt Goseiger, I want you go to pick out a SH Figuarts that you want to own but could never pull the trigger on (spending limit less than $150) and I will buy it for you.
Guaranteed. |
