So, if Fox handled this reboot the same way they've handled every Marvel property aside from First Class, then?

Same here. My hopes are up, but at the same time they're not sky-high like with some past movies I've been excited for. I think it helps that my only real expectation with this film, and others like it, is to have a fun time watching it.

Elizabeth Tan had auditioned for Trini. The first audition sides talks about a party. I don't remember hearing about that one before. - https://vimeo.com/user44697951/videos
She hasn't really been in anything that would have people really know her name. But, I thought how she came to the role was pretty interesting. Makes me wonder how Becky's audition looked.

Any thoughts on how Tommy will be in the movie series? And who would you see play him?

He probably won't appear until the sequel if they want this to become a franchise.

Yeah, since there has been no mention of him so-far, I think it's a safe bet to say that we likely won't be seeing any of Tommy in this movie. Which I think is a good thing... Not that I'm a Tommy hater, just that I like the idea of this movie focusing on the main five.
As for who I would want to see in the role, assuming this film is good and warrants a sequel, I want a no-name in the role or nobody at all. Though I wil say this, since they're changing some of the ethnicities from the original five for this, how about someone with strong Native American heritage for Tommy?

Forbes, while talking about the consequences of Hunger Games prequel, has seemed to detail the budget for this movie:
Quote:
And they may well have a new franchise on their hands with Power Rangers, especially as they are giving the X-Men like film an X-Men-like $75m budget.

Sounds better than the $20m budget rumor. Is $75m enough to cover the Ranger suits, monsters & the zords? In comparison, Pacific Rim had a $190m budget, while Godzilla had a $160m budget

The movie comes out in January. Big budget movies coming out in January are rare and hardly do well. The Green Hornet movie release in January did okay, but not enough to kick off a franchise.

To potentially start a franchise, I think it'll be enough. At the same time, those movies had bigger names attached to them which, I believe, stands for a lot in terms of budget. I think it'll be enough. I do wonder, though, if it is also this "low" because them actually getting the suits/powers might not be too in the forefront (if that makes sense).
