Hey all. Loved Pacific Rim. Bought NONE of the figures. A non-gokin nor hard plastic robot made of PVC AND by NECA? It worried me. Saw a boxed Knifehead and Gypsy Danger 2.0 on NECA's twitter.
Curiosity piqued. So have any of you bought these new figures? How do they compare to the originals in hand? Like do they feel more solid? I'm guessing they're still made of PVC. Not a big fan of PVC but for $25 a big ass fully articulated detailed as hell Knifehead doesn't seem too expensive to me for what it is. I just know from experience that NECA + PVC isn't always a positive experience. Thoughts?

Most of the Pacific Rim line is... dissapointing.
However, I have it on good authority that both 2.0 Knifehead and Gipsy are the absolute cat's tits. I have Axehead would would later become boxed Knifehead, and he's swole. Gippy-D is also pretty good, design-wise, total improvement. No widespread reported issues for either, though of course it's retail product, so there's always a chance of QC error, but nothing like Striker's disintegrating hips. |
