Bound to be better than Kingdom of Monsters.
Interestingly, this was initially solicted as being packed with a random Art Adams monster trading card, but that idea was scrapped after a disagreement between IDW and Toho.

Wow, that's the kind of gimmick I could have gotten behind too! Oh well, I think this series might prove to be good enough to not need something like that to fall back on in order to sell. Got a lot of hopes pinned on this one and the next miniseries.

Well, the two previous minis (Gangsters and Goliaths, Godzilla Legends) were both very worthy. Legends was a basically series of one-shots, but G&G was really head and shoulders better than Kingdom of Monsters.
Personally I am wondering if any of the developments from Legends will be carried over. There was some really thought provoking elements in there, including a monster-attracting and repelling device, the beginnings of an alien invasion, and the potential seeding of the spawn of a certain daikaiju.

The cover scared me. I was like "What did they do to poor God now..." Then I saw the art on the inside, and my inner-geek is sated again.

Uh... back? But he never went anywhere. He just kept on walking, probably to see what the world was like.

This issue...was amazing. Heart wrenching and the whole shabang. I will say this, IDW is doing a wonderful job of establishing just how much devastation and destruction would actually happen in the event of an attack from the BIG G himSELF!!!
