All of a sudden everyone is a book reader when a movie comes out based on a novel or book series.
Have you read Harry Potter, Twilight, or Lord of the Rings? The only books i've read turned movie are comic books. :-\ |

I seen many movies based on books and there is way too many to count. Most of my favorite movies of all time are based on books like The Godfather Part 1-2 (The third movie kinda sucks), A Clockwork Orange, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Blade Runner, Full Metal Jacket, Die Hard, Pyscho, To Kill a Mockingbird, Hellraiser, Casino, The Shawshank Redemption and many others.
Some movies can be so different from the book and still be good. Like Naked Lunch from David Cronenberg or Starship Troopers from Paul Verhoeven. Both are fantastic movies based on good novels in my opinion. If you mean that you read a book before it was adapted into a movie, I have read books before they got adapted into a movie. I read The Snowman from Jo Nesbø before it adapted into a movie and the movie was a total letdown.

ended up going through phase where i see book movies adaption and want to read it. the pooks i have read that have movies are as followed 101 Dalmations which so different to the diney film that i want true adaption of it. Jaws yet another one that i prefer over the film. JAws was good adaption just changing few things from the bok. Live Die Reapt what was based on japanese novel called all you need is kill and read the manga adaption on that one funny thing is the best American adaption from Japanese source book.

Sometimes you get a book and movie that both suck. I thought the Battlefield Earth book was almost as bad as the movie. The book becomes a series about banking during the middle of novel and I'm like "I'm done with this book!".

The Big Sleep, great great book, better than the Bogart movie. Especially since the book has all that cool noir style narration. Also Fight Club, though I liked the movie slightly better than the book.
And speaking of comics, I've been reading vintage X-Men and did just read the Dark Phoenix Saga. Which will be the inspiration for a movie coming out early next year. |
