Not sure if this is the place to discuss, but I've read Den of Geek's Super Ninja Steel review, and episode 7 basically said that Chip Lynn is actually the problem with PR dumbing down today. What do you think?

I think there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes that we're not privy to, and the fact that Lynn is the executive producer all criticism (good or bad) and complaints will fall on solely his shoulders either way.

Well my thoughts.
-Okay I'm starting to think Victor has a legit mental health problem. -Yes the only way that compass could have fallen into Brody's bag in all that Chaos is if he stole it. He'd have to have been some sort of ninja to pull that off! -Just shoot the Die before it comes down! -And nets do not work on Rhino ninja monsters. Good to know. -You know that teacher's pretty good looking. And has good eyes. And apolgizes for her mistake. I may be getting a crush. -Yep I'm sure that Compass won't be used for anything important, no siree. -And they shot the die while he was talking. -Damn Odious decided to skip to the chase. Hope the Galactic Ninja's don't hold a grudge. -Okay enemy Zord, that's bad. -Oh hell it's using Funnels, just great of all the Gundam Referrences to have to deal with. -And she turned around and didn't even look at the explosion. Yeah Odious has Zord piloting down. -And I guess that's what happens when you try to power a zord with the wrong power ups. Horrible miliage. |

This one surprised me! Spoiler-heavy!!!
- They used Rygore and the best tie-in they could do is "Summer Cove Rhino"? Not so beyond realism, but not close enough! - When they accused Brody, I seriously had flashbacks to Nick in Mystic Force when the accused him of stealing money! Hastings' "...magically appear..." line helped that connection, too! - Didn't Victor and Monty go through vents in the ceiling in a previous episode...and fail miserably? Why would they think this time wouldn't be different? - Rygore uses a "Ninja Kettle"! I don't get it, but 'nuff said! - Rygore has a Galactic Ninja Sword, but no extra Monster Tech Star to put into it like Speedwing! - Net causes antique compass to fly into bag! I'm debating the likeliness of that! - Rygore's Ninninger counterpart gave a history lesson on gaming when he was blasted down, while Rygore planned to use a special attack only to be blasted down before using it! - Odious said that three Galactic Ninja had been destroyed, but Wolvermean survived and was seen on stage in the beginning when Rygore went down to Earth! Venoma is treated like the only survivor! - They totally bullied Venoma into giving-up her Medallion, when they haven't done that to any other G.N. before! Odious must be short on patience (not that I can say anything)! - Foxitron's creation owned the episode!!! If you know Ninninger then you knew how the Medallions would be used, just not how PR would handle it! Since they made the mask-wearing ninjas into "Foxbots", it made perfect sense to use them as a basis for an evil Zord! And then they enlarged it! - The setup for Odious and the Medallions made the switch from Rygore-to-Foxitron more palatable, and the use of multiple episodes of Ninninger into one PR episode felt seamless! The fact they ended on an obvious cliffhanger felt intended, as if Saban and Co. knew that there would be a hiatus, and tried to make it feel like one! I liked this episode more than I thought when I started it! When Odious created Foxitron out of the Foxbots, I was sold on the endgame! Neo-Saban Era has gems even in slow-paced seasons!!! I detest having to wait for how they resolve this! I know how Ninninger handled it, and the opener and toys reveal where this is going, but you have to wonder how they will handle it for PR! P.S.: If Hastings rushed back to school, was there anyone to watch the students? |

Not sure if I said this, but I think Victor & Monty would've been more tolerable if they stuck with failed monster hunting as their gimmick, then we would enjoy watching them blast every time they try it.
This was one of the few good Ninja Steel episodes. No In-Your-Face morals, none of the Rangers did anything that lacks common sense, and the villains won by the end! Why wasn't the entire series this quality? It's also a good place for a cliffhanger before the hiatus. After all, they need their time to ship their upcoming new toys to stores. |

I missed the episode but I’m actually glad I did now because I absolutely HATE cliffhangers!
