Right now I'm deciding between the FMCS version and the S.H. Figuarts version. Before you yell, "FIGUARTS!!!", hear me out on this.
My main priority in toys is stability and playability. I like my toys to feel like solid toys. I love fiddling with my toys. I would sacrifice sculpt and articulation to a certain degree if my toys at least feel that they can take a bit of abuse and still feel good. This is epitomized in my love for Bandai of Japan's Super Sentai mecha, which while looking blocky and are as articulated as a brick, make me feel safer when fiddling with them as opposed to other robot figures. So here's where the FMCS version comes in. Things I like better in it: 1) The way the modules attach. I'm really not a fan of detaching and attaching accessories/limbs the way the Figuarts does them; for instance, my GokaiRed has used his folded arms pose only once. 2) I get all four main modules! Having Radar is a huge bonus, and Launcher is pretty nice too. I don't have to buy Module sets. 3) Seems less fragile. I always worry about breaking my Figuarts. 4) Less tiny pieces to lose, such as hands and tiny switches. 5) If we're talking about look, the FMCS version seems to have nicer proportions in the head-to-torso ratio. The Figuarts, of course, has other advantages: 1) Overall superior details, from the compound eyes to proper antenna, to the texture, to a fantastic translucent driver. 2) It would fit in with my Figuarts Double and GokaiRed. 3) Nice extra accessories if you buy all the module sets, such as the rocket thrusters' effects and mini ground craters. 4) More joints, a fantastic range of poseability. 5) Not very different in terms of price. The remaining question that I have is: Which has better, longer-lasting joints? I hope you guys can get where I'm coming at and maybe you'll give me a good informed assessment of both figures. Thank you!

Personally i like the mcs for the fact that you get more for less money.figuarts sure you get hands and everything, but lets face it fourze is all about the modules.not only that but tj omega just did a review on the elec states and said that they are going to release a clear reg version of mcs fourze with all.....ALL modules for every switch.

I think you shouldn't buy Figuarts if you are looking for playability and there are cheaper solid Fourze toys out there.

Based on your figure preferences, I'd recommend the FMCS version. I don't own it, but I own the Figuarts and felt you're only really getting the full potential of the figure if you're prepared to buy the module kits (which I'm not). The Figuarts is fantastic in its own way, but the tiny switches are annoying (mine popped out when I took it out the box and had to frantically search for them) and if you aren't a fan of the parts-swapping then you may not enjoying playing around with it.

Owning both I'd say you would be perfectly happy with the FMCS. They have the cool compound eyes of the Figuarts, cost less and can reach almost any pose the Figuarts can. They also fit in well with Figuarts, they are just a smidge taller. The only drawback I have really notcied (and this is personal preference) is that the Elek states isn't as shiny looking as the Figuarts seems like it is going to be.

Thanks for all your replies. The only remaining question I have is regarding the FMCS version's joints. Do you think they're stronger than the S.H. Figuarts (or Figuarts in general)?

Not sure about FMCS but my OCC figures had really brittle elbow joints. Tajador and Ratorata broke on me when I touched it after being displayed for some time.

Thanks again for the reply.
Wow, I'm inching really close to getting the FMCS version, but I still need an owner of the FMCS version to tell me about the joints of the figure. Hope to hear more replies before I make my decision!
