But glad to hear you enjoyed it. I keep hearing about that and seeing glimpses but I never end up watching it. I should change that one of these days. |

Anime recommendations? *processing*
I don't think I've got any that would suit your tastes I'm afraid. I happen to be a more shounen kind of guy, valuing entertainment over pretty much all else. I've got enough depression in my life so I don't tend to lean towards stuff like Evangelion (Of course, I still watched it). My older siblings would probably know of more, since I'll be real here, I don't have a very big knowledge when it comes to Anime, and I'll refrain from throwing out anything you might not be quite into like JoJo or One Punch Man, and everything else people are throwing out here are probably better choices than what I have under my belt. Haven't seen Patlabor but have been curious, same with Guyver. Have heard stuff about Symphogear, and I'll admit the collaboration costumes with Godzilla, Gamera, SSSS. Gridman, and the Manga/Netflix Ultraman look pretty neat, don't know if I'll see that anytime soon, got enough shows this season as it is already, I've yet to see the Kimetsu no Yaiba movie, Zero-One: RealxTime, and all of the Kamen Rider episodes on the TTW channel. |

Reideen the Superior was from the looks of it pretty much Sunrise's attempt at try and corner both bishounen and henshin hero market in 1996 alongside Dagwon by ditching the titular robot from the source material and making boybands transforming superheroes(of course the latter part of the show brought back the titular robot as a cosmic horror of sorts). In layman's terms the show is the answer to the question, "WHAT IF A 1990s POP IDOL BAND AND A VISUAL KEI BAND TRANSFORMED AND DUKED IT OUT WITH EACH OTHER".
Sonic Soldier Borgman is a tale of three grade school teachers who are in actuality cyborg soldiers fighting monsters. Kia Asamiya was the character designer and this is also the show I am bugging DreamSword to watch. Transformers Masterforce is the show that answers the million dollar question, "WHAT IF THE TRANSFORMERS WERE POWER RANGERS". Nuff said. *mic drop*

*insert anime is not cartoon controversy here*
Jokes aside I recommend Transformers Prime, aka one of the best Transformers shows ever. Great writing, characterisation, world-building, etc.

Gosh, you guys really delivered here, thank you all!
Oh, thank you to both you and DreamSword for mentioning this! I super liked Giant Robo, so I should have found this on my own, and it's a crime I didn't! I'm on it now though! Quote:

I really liked Bleach at the time, primarily the Visored characters. I quite enjoyed the Burn the Witch OVA from earlier last year, though, ah, it was amusingly misguided at times, I thought. Oh yes! This is a great idea! At the risk of dating myself terribly, I got like one video tape of this for Christmas one year but never saw the rest of it! Absolutely on this! *looks flustered* I-I'm still young and cool, you guys! Yeah! I know what's hip still! Wicked! Radical! Cowabunga! Eat my shorts, guys! *puts baseball cap on backwards and skateboards away* Quote:

I'm too old to change—and as I mentioned to DS before, I learnt to do this on purpose when I was working comic conventions to stir up contention and amuse myself because I am a genuinely awful old woman. Quote:
Again, thank you all for commenting! I think I have the rest of the year filled now! I'm really excited to actually watch all this stuff and I can't thank you all enough!! |

Yes! I think XDU was the mobile app game! Does a lot of crossovers every once in a while. One was SSSS Gridman and recently Saint Seiya!
