Yeah, I agree with what others say, that this arc feels like a holding pattern. Like the writers did too much too soon and had to stall until the final arc, plus the toys are selling well enough to need more bottles to sell, so they settled on this as a stalling tactic.
I should point out that they specifically said early in the series that the Rider System is able to grow in power along with its user which makes it different from the trainer system that Blood Stalk and Night Rogue used. If Sento's dad has been using it for many years, than that would be a better explanation. It's not the one they went with, but it would have worked better. In spite of the stalled story, the characters are still written well and there are some great moments there. Banjo may just be the best secondary rider yet. |

Banjou has been the best secondary rider before he even became one in my opinion.
Banjou is just fantastic. |

On the whole, I liked this episode. I'm glad we aren't getting multiple weeks of Sento stressing over fighting his dad. I feel like a lesser show would have stretched that out a lot longer instead of resolving it without too much melodrama. It led to a good Sento/Banjou bro moment (broment?), too, and I'm always a sucker for a good Sentou/Banjou broment. |

The treo most interesting things in this episode were Gwntoki's shirts (or more specifically, everyone else's reactions to the shirts) and Sento teansferring Vernage into Ryuuga to counter Evolt's genetic effects.
The rest of the episode was mediocre, so much so that I didn't even notice that they came up with a new SMASH design for her.

I love how the solution to the fight just boiled down to, "Let's punt Vernage into Ryuga to save everyone today."
Also I feel like we were scammed, in that we didn't get to see Phoenix Tank at the end. |

I thought that was funny, like he kicked her so hard he knocked the Vernage out of her.

Finally back after not commenting for the last 10 or so episodes for some reason.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To the biggest problem with this arc is that I like several elements of it, but the whole thing doesn't click with me. - The twist is alright, but should've been placed earlier in the show like back when Ryuga was revealed to be a genetic piece of Evolt and Katsuragi Shinobu is first hinted at having something to do with the main plot. - The idea of Evolt collecting the Lost Bottles to achieve a power beyond his current final form is really interesting, but has little weight so far because the heroes don't know what he's planning and thus aren't showing as much concern as they should. - Shinobu's preference for the agility as NinninComic in contrast to his son's choice of GorillaMond, and other small details that his driver not including the "Best Match!" identifier sound are all really nice, but they don't outweigh the issue of his character itself being introduced so suddenly in the last stretch of the series. - Sento being devoted to find his dad only to go into shock when Shinobu is working with Evolt, is a neat call back to when they suggested Katsuragi Takumi created Faust because he was so focused in on creating the Rider System he lost sight of everything else, and it's consistent with him recently regaining all Takumi's memories and consciousness. |

Main thing that concerned me most is completion of lost panel and lost bottles which will catalyze this series huge change towards summer movie.

Here is an idea, what if the show ends badly where the heroes lose and the villains win? I mean how else do you plan on connecting this to the movie in a way that would make sense?
