Hyakuju Gattai!
November officially marks Tokunation's celebration of Power Rangers Wild Force for Power Rangers 20th Anniversary! And to commemorate that we're bringing you a very special treat. For the next month we'll be looking at the the entire retail DX line of mecha from Hyakuju Sentai Gaoranger!! Gaoranger is of course the sentai which Wild Force was adapted from, and both shows had massive toy lines. So to kick things off we start with the great king of spirits himself, DX Gaoking! Gaoking is formed by the first 5 of the 100 Power Animals; Gao Lion, Gao Eagle, Gao Shark, Gao Bison, and Gao Tiger. Though not as large as his DX predecessors Gaoking is a fantastically engineered figure with some heavy diecast parts and a beautiful pearly paint job. Gaoranger was an innovative line which featured readily interchangeable legs arms and torsos resulting in multiple official combinations and tons of unofficial ones. This line is all about versatility and we'll be showing you that in the coming weeks. If you think Gao King himself is great then wait until you see the 14 other "Gaolleries" we have in store for this month! Want TokuNation.com updates on the go? In case you couldn't tell by my enthusiasm or personal Gaoranger collection, it's one of this admins favorite all time sentai. If you liked Power Rangers Wild Force or any of it's toys, or have even the slightest interest in Gaoranger I HIGHLY recommend both the show and it's toyline.

Great pics so far. Can't wait to see the other galleries, but I have a feeling these are going to hurt my wallet.

I like how all the Zords are interchangeable in this series.
If you think about it, it's kinda like the precursor to the Zord Builder system.

I guess you could think of it that way, but Zorbuilder is based on an entirely different system. You can take pieces and components of Zord Builder capable figures and put them together in random crazy combinations using universal joints.
The arm connectors are interchangable for Gaoranger and the torsos and legs have the same connectors across the board so they can be swapped out to create logical combos. Zord Builder is a bit more, put parts everywhere to make something, this is more build a solid 5 or 6 piece robot.

Actually Hunter is pretty cheap in most cases. Icarus can be found very cheaply if you buy the individual releases for his components rather than the boxed set. The only really expensive sets that push $100+ are the Blue Moon Gao Hunter, Gao God, and Gao Knight. Hell even my Black Gaoking was only like $40
