Kamen Riders tend to develop powers that far exceed the others in their respective series. Members of teams, they find new things about themselves and fight for their friends and humanity. Utilizing condensed powers of their enemies, these blue swordsmen find themselves eventually turning into the very thing they were supposed to fight. They are Kazuma Kenzaki, the Spade-themed Kamen Rider Blade and Kouta Kazuraba the Samurai-like Kamen Rider Gaim. This thread is to see which of the two can best the other with their most basic gear and their own strength in a Kamen Rider Brawl. -Kazuma Kenzaki started off as a good natured man before being chosen to be an agent of B.O.A.R.D., tasked with aiding them in sealing the released Undead- 52 Kaijin that were accidentally released back into the world. To this end, he utilizes the Blay Buckle and the sealed Category Ace of Spades card to transform into Kamen Rider Blade. This transformation has defensive capabilities- when transforming, the belt “projects” a semi-solid image of the Category Ace of Spades, often knocking an opponent back as Kazuma walks/runs through it. His personal weapon is the Blay Rouzer, a saber that doubles as a storage unit for his Rouze Cards. By sliding a card into the slot on the side of the blade, Kazuma can utilize the power of the sealed Undead. For this battle, Kazuma will use only the cards that have appeared in show that do not have any connection to his Jack and King forms- -Category 2: Slash- Enhances the attack strength of the Blay Rouzer, allowing him to deliver powerful slashes. -Category 3: Beat- Increases Blade’s punching power, strengthening his fists. -Category 4: Tackle- Increase the momentum of his tackles -Category 5: Kick- Enhances his length strength and adds strength to his kicks, this card is often used in conjunction with his finishers. -Category 6: Thunder- Powers up his next attack in lightning. Usually used to coat the blade of the Blay Rouzer or enhance his other attacks. -Category 7: Metal- Transmutes his body into metal to reduce his damage. -Category 8: Magnet- Allows him to have limited control over magnetism -Category 9: Mach- Enhances his speed, allowing him to run faster and be more agile. -Utilizing his Kick and Thunder Rouze Cards, Kazuma can unleash his Rider Kick, the Lightning Blast, encasing his leg in electricity as he utilizes a flying front kick at his opponent. He can further amp this up by adding the Mach Rouze Card to his other two Rouze Cards, allowing him to use the Lightning Sonic Rider Kick, increasing his speed as he runs towards the opponent to add more force to the Lightning Blast kick. -His Rider Machine is the Blue Spader Motorcycle, a modified motorcycle with limited Rouze capabilities. So far, the Blue Spader has only exhibited two of the Rouzing features- Thunder, encasing the bike in electricity, and Mach, which increased its speed. As a member of B.O.A.R.D, Kazuma learned all he could about his rider system and has proven to use it proficiently, Kazuma is a fighter one shouldn’t contend with! -Kouta Kazuraba was once the member of the Team Gaim street-dancing team until he decided he needed to help provide for him and his older sister Akira through an earnest job. When he and his childhood friend Mai were ambushed by the Byakko Invess trying to find their friend Yuuya, they found the Sengoku Driver Yuuya sent them a picture about. Placing the buckle on his waist, a belt formed from it as the two strange fruits he had plucked earlier turned into Lock Seeds. After telling Mai to run, Kouta found himself face to face with the Invess. When a mysterious woman resembling Mai showed up, Kouta swore to protect her and utilized his very first Lock Seed, the Orange Lock Seed, to transform into Kamen Rider Gaim Orange Arms. When transforming, the fruit that forms the armor can also be used in a defensive manner, often flying towards the opponent or spinning around when connected to the rider. Gaim’s default form is Orange Arms, a samurai-like Kamen Rider, arming him with the Arms Weapon, the Daidaimaru, an orange themed sword. In all his basic Arms Changes, Kouta is also armed with his MusouSaber, a sword/gun hybrid, allowing him to slash opponents and shoot a limited amount of times before needing to pull the tab on the back to reload. By combining the MusouSaber and the Daidaimaru to form the Daidaimaru Naginata Mode, giving him more range in battle. Kouta is one of the few riders with multiple finishers in each of his forms, depending if he uses his belt or the MusouSaber itself- -Orange Musou Zan [Orange Charge (MusouSaber only)]: Kouta slashes the enemy with his MusouSaber, unleashing a slash of orange energy. -Naginata Musou Slicer [Orange Charge (Daidaimaru Naginata Mode)]: Kouta slashes multiple times with both blades, with each energy attack resembling orange slices. -Daidai Itou (Orange Squash attack 1): After “slashing” the blade on his SengokuDriver once, Kouta unleashes this finisher, using his Daidaimaru to unleash a series of slashes on his opponent. -Burai Kick (Orange Squash attack 2): Kouta’s Rider Kick, in which orange slices made of energy appear before him as he leaps into the air, kicking right through them using a flying side kick. -Unnamed Orange Sparking Finisher: “Slashing” the blade on the Sengoku Driver three times, Kouta’s Orange Arms folds back up into its fruit form to spin at high velocity. This is usually used for defensive purposes, often allowing him to protect himself and others or deflect attacks/blades. -Besides his default form, in his basic arsenal, Kouta is able to use the Lock Seeds attached to his Lock Seed Holder. At all times, he has the Pine and Ichigo Lock Seeds, granting him two other Arms Changes. -Pine Arms is Kouta’s one of basic Arms Change, armed with the Pine Iron flail. With slightly more strength and defense, this form is notably slower than Orange Arms and Ichigo Arms. By combining the Pine Iron and Musou Saber, he creates the Pine Iron Kusarigama Mode, giving him more range with the heavy Pine Iron flail. Like Orange Arms, this form has a multitude of finishers- -Iron Breaker (Pine Squash): This form’s Rider Kick, it has multiple variations. For the purposes of this battle, we’ll utilize his most memorable version: he first throws/kicks the Pine Iron at his opponent, often encasing the head of the opponent. If it connects, he then performs his rider kick. -Pine Musou Zan (Pine Au Lait): Slashing the Sengoku Driver’s blade twice, Gaim uses the chain of the Pine Iron to ensnare his opponent before delivering a slash with the Musou Saber -Ichigo Arms is Kouta’s other basic Arms Change, armed with the Ichigo Kunai throwing daggers. Faster than Orange Arms and Pine Arms, this is Kouta’s most agile form, trading offensive and defensive power for speed. Unlike his other Arms Changes, Kouta tends to only use one of Ichigo’s- -Kunai Burst (Ichigo Power, Musou Saber Only): Kouta places the Ichigo Lock Seed in the Musou Saber and slashes, unleashing a strawberry made of energy that bursts into a barrage of Ichigo Kunai that rain upon the enemy. -Kouta is one of the few riders in the series to not have one, or two, but three different rider machines- the Lock Vehicles, strange Lock Seed-like devices that when unlocked, can turn into transportation for Kouta. Kouta’s main rider vehicle is the Sakura Hurricane, a motorcycle. His secondary vehicle is the Dandeliner, a hover-bike armed with built in guns. His final vehicle is the TulipHopper, a strange walking mini-mecha that can well, hop or deliver powerful kicks. While he has this large arsenal, Kouta was initially untrained with it and often charged into battle without a proper strategy, gaving to adapt to the fight at hand. With his time on Team Gaim as a dancer, Kouta has shown he is naturally agile, but will this allow him to face Kazuma properly? Gaim, take the stage! Now that the facts are known, place your votes and discuss on which of these two true blue fighters will take victory for their own. Tune in two weeks from now to learn the results and see who is next up, for the Kamen Rider Brawl!

Do they start out unmorphed, or morphed? It doesn't affect much, but it would take care of the "They just steal the henshin device" argument I remember from last time this type of thing happened...
But I thing Kazuma has this. His cards give him more variety. and he is a trained fighter, rather than an amateur dancer. As good as I think Kouta is, he just doesn't match up. The beetle eats the orange this round.

Death God vs Fruit God.
Well knowing what we've seen Kota and Roshuo do with their divine fruit powers, I'd give it to fruit boy. |

OOO did a bang-up job detailing how each Rider's basic powers worked at the start of their series but while I love Gaim I gotta go with Blade here.
Category 7: Metal renders whatever Kouta's 3 Lockseeds can do a trivial matter and having access to lightning and magnetism grants him some control over where he would want Kouta to be (I'm pretty sure Lock Seed armor is made of some kind of metal but it's been awhile since I've seen the show) Kouta's only real edge is his 3 Rider Machines. In addition to the standard motorcycle he has a hoverbike and a walker mech, although it has been stated Blade is a trained fighter so whatever advantage Prof. Sengoku's vehicles may offer will be trumped by the Blay Rouzer. It conclusion Kazuma would win, but Kouta won't make it easy for him. The former's victory is in the cards. |

Also, for future brawls: Please more secondary or lesser Riders, not only protagonists.

I'm going to go with Blade. Kenzaki simply has the advantage due to being trained by a military organization as well as having more experience as a Rider and combat experience. Kouta was pretty much just dropped feet first in to the fray. He got better over time, but in the beginning he wasn't that greatly skilled of a warrior. So compared to Kenzaki who at the start of episode 1 already has the training and experience, Kouta just doesn't have what it takes.

I have to go with Blade on thise one. His cards give him the advantage over Koutas basic set of weaponry and being able to combine the different cards powers just enhances how powerful their effects already are. Plus Kenzaki is a trained fighter while Kouta was just a kid that had to learn how to handle his powers on his own. Also taking the way the action in both shows is handled Kouta doesnt have the same understanding of how his different kinds of weapons are utilized to their full potential.
Kenzaki also has the advantage of consistently fighting monsters whos abilities are all very different while the Invess Kouta usually fights all pretty much act the same so Kenzaki is used to adapting to a different opponent each time. |

I'd give a deep explanation for why Kenzaki wins, but it would boil down to the two main factors that many others have posted already.
1. Variety. Kenzaki's multiple cards provide a large boost to his abilities (Such as Kick and Beat) or give him a new set of powers entirely (Like Magnet or Mach) to constantly keep Kouta on his toes. 2. Training. Kenzaki is a trained fighter from the get go. While he doesn't have a soldier mentality, he does have the skills. Kouta is merely a dancer in it for the fun. I think Kenzaki has it in the bag. Will it be easy? I dunno. But I just can't imagine Kouta pulling a win out with just 3 different weapons that he uses haphazardly.
