For those just tuning in, Tubi TV and Shout Factory just released the entirety of the original 1971 Kamen Rider show.
That's right, the granddaddy of all Kamen Rider is now all subbed and available for our viewing pleasure, legally. Considering most of us are likely watching this show now, I figured we should get a series discussion going! Naturally, there may be spoilers so viewer discretion be advised. |

I just checked, it's another US exclusive. Something really needs to be done about tokusatsu in Europe, some countries on the continent did show various 80s sentai years ago but the UK's position has always been very unclear!

There’s definitely a proper Team Rider UK (not in any official capacity) movement brewing to try and show distributors we want this stuff as well though!

Try using ExpressVPN. I use it to watch movies that are on Amazon Prime UK because some movies are not streamable in the US.

I did not think they’d start with the OG. Very curious to see where they head moving forward, especially if V3’s existing license is still valid.

Gah, I am so jealous!
Which company would be the most likely to release Rider (or just toku in general) over here?

And just as quickly as I had planned to spend a night bingeing some Rider, Tubi decides to pull the episodes cause someone got their timing screwed up! Evidently, something is happening or will be happening in the near future.
DAMN IT ALL!!! DON"T TEASE US AND THEN PISS US OFF!!!!!!!! |

See, what interests me about a home release is that unlike Shout's Super Sentai releases this particular Rider series has an HD master in Japan, and there's been a long enough buffer of time since the japanese Blu ray release to quell Toei's worry about reverse importing.
I don't want to get any hopes up but a Shout Factor HD release could very well be in the cards. |

This is huge. I honestly expected them to start with either Kiva or W considering the belts we're getting. Either way, totally getting all the DVDs as they come out.
