So I powered through Orb and I have no regrets. I'm a touch and go Ultraman viewer. I watched Tiga years ago and loved it but all the other series aside from the Ultraman Zero movies had me interested.
This was really a great tokusatsu series. I really want to watch the Origin Series to understand the backstory between Gai and Juggler. Also love how..humanized a lot of the Aliens and monsters come off. Tarude for example was a pretty cool character...his...old school design non-withstanding. |

I was able to track down some Orb Origin English Subs! I've already watch the first three episodes of the show and, given the length of it, I've decided to make a weekend out of it and watch the whole thing between today and Sunday. Also, TV-Nihon have completed Ultra Orb Fight and are planning doing the movie when it comes out so that'll be fun. As for my thoughts on the Origin Saga so far, I enjoy it. It was kind of confusing in the first episode given that not only did they just kind of throw you into things, they also jumped around a lot, but by the end of the third episode they've connected the stories in way that shows that there was a reason they were doing it. I've got to say, I love watching Gai and Juggler interact with one another. Its funny seeing Jugglar constantly chew Gai out for making reckless decisions only to watch as Gai completely ignores his warnings the instant he believes somebody might be in danger, forcing Juggler to follow him. |
