Who here played and subsequently beat Mass Effect 3? I wish the endings were more character/choice driven like in Mass Effect 2. Nonetheless, while I can see why people are mad, I still think 3 is a great game.
Thoughts? Which endings did you get? The one I got, was was the destruction of the Mass Relays, and synthetics to save the universe. I did read an article, maybe by Kotaku or some other site, referring to how the mythology in the game was ruined by explaining too much about the Reapers. It appears that the Leviation DLC will only futher that. Thoughts?

I wholeheartedly disagree. This is the final game and I am totally cool with explaining reaper origins. I just wish the leviathans had more effect on the game than war assets. I haven't finished the second playthrough yet, mostly because of my severe disappointment with the ending but I know my renegade shepherd will choose control.

Nope, private mesage shows up on your terminal and a blip to go to the citedel on the galaxy map. I started the dlc mid game just before doing the genophage cure mission

I finished my second playthrough not that long ago. I honestly think the game is fine, the whole ending debacle got blown way out of proportion...but it's good that Bioware at least addressed the issues with DLC.
Having said that...I do see the issues with the ending. It really takes the intensity away of that final push towards the beacon. Haven't gotten Laviethan DLC yet, I've always been rather iffy about buying content for a game that I already own...might wait for some kind of special game of the year edition. |

Working on my second (Insanity) play-through now. I did the Synthesis ending. Been loving the hell out of the multiplayer. Haven't bought the Leviathan DLC yet.

I think bioware that ending was shit and was working on that extended cut before the game was even released

Well regardless of the ending I got the Omega DLC and felt I got my money's worth.
Its a merry kill-everything-in-sight offering. Doesn't run pretty smooth on the PS3 but that's usually the case. Nyreen, the 1st female Turian to be featured in the Mass Effect games is the star of the show and I have to say bioware really knocked it out of the park with her character design and her personality. She's a handsome looking raptor woman but its her personality that shines. |
