Announced at ToyFair, the next season of Power Rangers will be a Go-Busters adaptation!
https://twitter.com/PowerRangers/sta...42245110493185 Quote:
Set in the future, a secret agency combines a newly discovered substance called “Morph-X” with animal DNA to create the Power Rangers Beast Morphers team. The Rangers must fight off an evil sentient computer virus bent on taking over the source of all Ranger power, the Morphin Grid itself. Featuring never-before-seen leather suits and an all-new beast-themed arsenal (including dynamic new Zords), fans should get ready for a season full of secret ops and morphinominal fun.

4-2-3-1, Let’s Go!
I’m so unbelievably happy about this. I don’t think I’ve been this excited about something Power Rangers in years.

Okay, I'm gonna break my "I don't care about Power Rangers" rule for half a second because... that's actually *really* cool. The choice to skip Go-Busters - of all things! - always struck me as bizarre. The individual Go-Busters mecha are terrific even if their combined forms are a little lackluster, and the show's gimmick leans closer to "cool" than "appeals to kids." Very, very interesting.
Also, I have to wonder whether that adaptation choice is part of why Bandai of America no longer has the toy license. Did they throw up their hands? |
