So I've made a couple of custom flash drives in the past. And then Conundrum made one out of a ranger key, which is something I had wanted to do for a while. So I found one on clearance at work and made one myself. I did it kinda quickly and crudely with a flash drive that doesn't have a very good design to go with this kinda project, so it came out really not so good looking.
Since it's for myself I don't care as much. Here are pics of my ranger key drive and the others I've made.

Those are awesome, although it pains me to see a Pokemon Green cart turned into a USB

It's not actually. It was one of those multiple in one Chinese knock off games. I printed out the Green label and glued it on.

If I actually had an original Pokémon Green cart, I wouldn't have the heart to destroy it.

That doesn't look too bad at all! For future drives, I suggest the pny brand. They keep everything contained to this small metal piece that's easily removed from the shell. It's what I used for the ranger key and a hot wheels delorean drive I had made.

Good to know. I'm cheap though, so unless I find them for $1 per GB or less, I'm probably not buying it. Lol.

Heck though, I remember when it used to cost $20 for a 128MB drive. Anything's better than that. |

So very true. I guess that's a pretty good trade off. The 8GB I bought today was $7.77 after my discount and tax.
